Apple Seeds Second iOS 8.3 Beta to Developers

Holy crap. Apple is paying more attention to iPad :D:D:D I have felt so hopeless lately that my iPad will ever function decently again because the same buggy crap has been happening for 5 months now, and we've seen hardly any changes to iPad-related things. Other than the multitasking gestures bug being fixed. Thank god that happened.

But yeah now in the first 2 betas of 8.3 we've already seen 2 significant fixes; the keyboard popping up in spotlight becoming smoother (according to what I've heard) and now the AirPlay menu is fixed. Yippee!

iPad also received the new emoji keyboard layout (& new emoji icons/colors) in Beta 2. Beta 1 did not include the new emoji keyboard layout (scrolling view instead of the original paginated view). So yes, iPad is getting some attention albeit a bit delayed.

Same as the lowest device on iOS 8.0.

iPad 2 and greater
iPad Mini and greater
iPhone 4s and greater
iPod Touch 5th Generation
 
It'll be interesting to see how they handle Emojis with more than one person. The parents with two children, for example. Will they allow you to choose a shade for each portion of the emoji? That's 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 variations?

I doesn't work for me.
She just keeps interrupting with "Can you repeat that?" (in danish, of course) before I have a chance to say anything. Just like the girlfriend at home :)

Also just a warning to Pebblers. 8.3 Beta 2 doesn't play well with Pebble. It cannot pair with standard BT and LE BT doesn't even show. :(

It doesn't work though, Siri keeps saying same "i'm sorry, could you repeat that please" over and over again with that electronic voice. Well, at least languages are supported now, may be in next beta it will work properly.

I had this problem too. I Reset all settings (first option, so you all your stuff is still on your phone) and got it working!

here it's works great, and siri understands fine what i'm saying

Something that's new to me and may have even appeared in beta 1 is that Apple Pay now defaults to using your camera to add debit/credit cards.

Previously when adding a card, there was a camera icon to allow you to scan your card when inputting card information. Now, when you click the + icon to add a card, the camera opens up by default and there's a "use keyboard" bar at the bottom.

I had the same issue after resetting all settings and then I noticed Siri was turned off. Once I turned Siri on the CarPlay option came back.

Yup and it even resizes now automatically for the mirroring button to show once connected. I literally use AirPlay every day and it drove me nuts. They should have fixed that ages ago.

Oh definitely. The green is much more vibrant, like pre-iOS 7.1, and the speech bubble is quite a bit smaller than before. Wonder why they did this?
