Interesting that they added the option with the apps along the bottom row rather the OS controls on the top row where it would seem to fit in more (similar to DND, for example).
Two crescent moon icons in the same row would be a lot worse, it's bad enough there are two at all.

Well, the flashlight isn't an app either. It's always been inconsistent. I agree it makes more sense at the top, but there was more room at the bottom to squeeze it in.

Hmm. I wonder if the rumors that Apple is removing scrolling are true, then.

No clue, the bug report I've filed was closed as a dupe but the dupe is still open. So, we don't know yet if it is a bug or not.

It seems weird that it does this but not when it's plugged in. I don't know why you'd want it on when you're plugged in.

Because this feature is about prioritizing battery life. The iPhone cannot recharge fast enough while you're using it, thus it is left on until it slowly charges to 80%.

I've never had that issue. Maybe if you're playing a game? But this is why options are good.

The presumption is people are only going to use low power mode when they need it, not have their phone in that state all the time (hence why it asks you at 20% if you'd like to turn on low power mode). It turns off because your average joe isn't going to remember to go in and turn off low power mode in the morning. Thus, once 80% is reached, it turns it off for you - it's protecting people from themselves, basically.

I understand why it turns off automatically at 80%, which is fine. I just wish it would turn off when plugged in as well.

Unfortunately that's only possible with a jailbreak. I have mine automatically turn on when battery drops below 20% and off as soon as it's plugged in to charge (and if you take it off the charger while it's less than 20% it toggles it on again).

I wish Apple would allow some sort of Activator in iOS 10, because it's one of the most useful tweaks that can do so much, and keeps me from going to Android and enjoying Tasker (which is also an excellent app there).

I'm experiencing the same troubles with Bluetooth car audio! I hope they finally fix these issues.

What troubles? The only issue I found was when connected via bluetooth and using Apple Music, using the next button on my steering wheel would go a random song in the album I am streaming instead of the next one. Other than that, it works fine. I can't speak for beta 2 since it's still installing. I have a 2016 Mazda6.

What is the Bluetooth car problem?

The predominant ones I've seen reported involve not returning to what was previously playing after finishing a phone call, or arbitrarily switching to Bluetooth audio when opening an app not explicitly dedicated to audio, such as Facebook.

I have two others. One involves not returning to what was playing after a navigation app is done sending audio directions (and strangely, the nav audio doesn't actually play either). Also, the Siri Eyes Free button on my Pioneer aftermarket stereo no longer works. It just switches the input to Bluetooth audio. Siri briefly opens then closes before I can talk to it.

This all worked fine for me in iOS 9.1. 9.2 broke it, and 9.2.1 and 9.3 have shown no difference. The same happens with my wife's phone so it's very likely either iOS or the stereo at fault. Evidence seems to point to iOS.

Important to note, too, that in the online reports I've seen, symptoms seem to vary greatly from model to model of the car/stereo. I'm guessing that most people don't have a problem at all.

Unfortunate news.. The lag that was present in 9.0-9.2.1, and was fixed in 9.3 is back in this beta. Install with caution.

I was on the Public Beta. Removed the beta profile. Rebooted phone, nothing OTA for me yet. (Ireland!)

I hope someone at Apple sees this request:
PLEASE if this were to be the only feature of iOS X I'd be so happy, but allow for Control Center to be customizable. Along with the redesigned multitasking, CC was my favorite feature of iOS 7 and I was hopeful prior to the past two WWDCs that this would be added in iOS 8 or 9. I'd love to swap out the Do Not Disturb option that I have never used on the top row and put Night Shift there instead. I personally never use the calculator or timer option on the App Row and would love to be able to swap them for Low Power Mode or Safari shortcut.
The groundwork has been laid with how you can scroll through different options for areas on the WatchOS watch face, so please carry that over to iOS!

My bluetooth problem has been fixed with this update. Previously the phone would connect but wouldn't output sound to the stereo. The release notes have been posted stating a fix but also a new issue:

  1. Bluetooth

    Fixed in Beta 2

Connected Bluetooth audio devices may not show up in the audio route picker.

    Known Issue

Some Bluetooth Smart accessories may have issues pairing and connecting in this beta.

There's certainly that, although they really should have come up with something different for the icon in general in that case, like the existing one that was leaked earlier.

That's true in the sense that's it's not a separate app, but it's basically just a function that does something on its own without affecting anything, like the other functions along with it (calculator, camera, timer), while Night Shift and the OS controls at the top are settings/options that affect the OS itself.

This x10000. Everything Bluetooth worked great in 9.1 on the GM intellilink system. 9.2 broke it with the exact same symptoms you state here. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

Edit - this was in response to post 66 by @dloomer. Apparently I can't quote, ha.
