The irony of this story is that the Feedback Assistant in High Sierra itself has a bug within it that doesn't allow you to send any Bug Reports from the MAIL program. It constantly gives an error that bug report failed to send to server and is discarded. So how do I tell them this or the Bold text bug in email messages?

Epic Fail again Apple. :(
Specify “something not on this list” if you want to include a report for Mail.

I am a public tester but I ran a terminal command (I got from someone here) when the last dev beta was released and it showed up. I assumed the command was permanent and I would receive dev beta releases through the App store.

It's not showing up for me?
just run it again and bingo. In the notes of the last beta it did say that it would not be on the app store anymore, but maybe the command still works.

Fingers crossed this includes the supplemental update fixes
Anyone figure out of it does? How can you tell if you don't use encryption?

How is the WindowServer process handling scaled resolutions for retina screens in this newest beta? Still leaking memory like crazy or is it fixed?

Hm, you weren't kidding. (I'm still on 10.13.0, so I can't answer your question.)

i think Apple should reign in all these so called Beta Testers and scold them good for not doing and reporting any good testing. So much was missed or allowed to pass through without even a reaction. Sad when people are so thirsty for the Next Cool Feature that the Basic Functions get compromised! Lets just go to 14 on this. MacOS 10.14

Beta 1 broke my App Store, so how do I get the download for beta 2?

Run

Code:
softwareupdate -ia
[doublepost=1507583198][/doublepost]Still doesn't seem to contain any facility to merge two APFS containers together and/or non-destructively move an APFS volume from one container to another.

Hopefully this fixes the notification bug introduced in the last beta where I could no longer close the first of a series of identical notifications (I have an external harddrive which has a shoddy connection leading to a string of disconnect messages down the side upon wake) and have all of them close. Or rather it appears that the magic notification is now somewhere in the middle, rather than at the top.

High Sierra has been a bit glitchy. Nothing major, just seems like a sloppy release. As an example, the titles on my Safari tabs occasionally go blank, and I can only get them back by restarting my laptop. Just sloppy, and certainly not the detail-oriented Apple I once knew.

I can't say when, but Finder (no matter which view I choose), Info window and Preview stopped showing mp3s cover, this beta doesn't solve this behavior. Is it an HS bug or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Presumably like you I will never use them, but among most of my less techie friends new emoji are the one thing that really compels them to update their devices.

I never quite understand the grudge people here hold against new emojis, if Apple did not include other Unicode elements people would be furious (imagine they didn't implement certain character sets from non-latin script). New emoji are such a small and easy thing to include in an update after all, they hardly take much time away from Apple's engineers.

I suspect this is caused by a variety of factors.

1. Even APPLE likes to focus on them. As you said, they are 'such a small' thing that I can't quite fathom why it's such a big deal. Implement them... don't spend your time talking to technical people about them.

2. We are collectively already overburdened with emoji's. Sure... they're cute. Even some of the sets I can buy are great. But at the end of the day there are only so many you can use on a regular basis. Probably less than 100.

3. Given #2, the fact that Apple is adding 10... 100... or even 1000 more emoji's is not of value to most people.

From my perspective it's a total "who cares", but I can see them being used to drive updates.

Was it hanging? If so, I've been told that something was resource hogging.

I hope this .1 version fixes those thunderbolt related system freezers that hadn’t had since 2014 and also bring back the lost performance from my 2012 mbp.

yup. It's a wtf bug... Or who the hell know bug. Either way annoying.
[doublepost=1507591149][/doublepost]There are still glitches galore in this. It seems to get worse every year. Now they are pressed to force out updates every Fall instead of when they are actually stable.
