Revolutionizing emojis. Reworking them from the ground up.

However, half of the functionality in the previous emoji is not there, but will be added back in in future updates. This will cause professional emoji users to completely alter their workflow, resulting in their moving to a competitor's emojis. This was necessary to get all the emoji on a common framework.

Grr - and for the second time, after install and first boot/login I get told my iCloud account is locked due to too many incorrect login attempts. I had to unlock it and reset the password, and then log back in to iMessage, FaceTime, the store and iCloud on all my devices. Weird that it's never happened before but now I'm 2 out of 2 with it happening on 10.12.2 dev betas. I might log out of iCloud before the next one!

Apple today seeded the second beta of the upcoming macOS Sierra update 10.12.2 to developers, one week after releasing the first 10.12.2 beta and two weeks after the public release of macOS 10.12.1.

macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta 2 is available for download through the Apple Developer Center and through the software update mechanism in the Mac App Store. A public beta will likely be available for public beta testers later this week.

macOS Sierra 10.12.2 includes new emoji introducing Unicode 9 characters like clown face, drooling face, selfie, face palm, fox face, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, pancakes, croissant, and more, plus many profession emoji available in both male and female genders.

Apple has also updated the artwork on many existing emoji, adding detail and making them look less cartoonish and more realistic.

The update will also focus on bug fixes and performance enhancements to address issues that have popped up since the release of macOS Sierra 10.12.1.

Available since September, macOS Sierra is the latest Mac operating system. It includes Siri support, Apple Pay for the web, Universal Clipboard, Apple Watch auto unlocking, improved iCloud Drive integration, Picture-in-Picture multitasking, and dozens of smaller features that can be found in our macOS Sierra roundup.

New or improved Emoji's? Is that it?
Wow.
And to get a whole relase just for them. They must be sooooooo important.
Consider me unimpressed.
mind you I have not upgraded my main system to Sierra yet.

Well I'm hoping for bug fixes and fewer spinning beach balls.

Like logon taking 5 seconds after entering the password in the lock screen - all pre-Sierra OSX's were instant.

Or typing something into calendar freezing after the first few characters are entered - as it does a pointless search of something similar.

Would be nice to see the useless iToons updated as it's getting harder to use with every iteration.

Would also be nice to remove the useless Siri from the system and save more bytes for emojis... (that's sarcasm borne out of frustration with pointless so-called updates)

Welcome to nobody cares, population 8 billion.

Libreoffice crashes on many types of Macs since Sierra update and a lot of peoples have many troubles.

But I guess that new emojis are rather important.

p.s. @Glenny2lappies: we could try to ask Siri what does she think about emojis. Just to see if she understand. :)
Uh.. I used an emoji... :)

New emojis - ready!
New filesystem - cannot even boot OS.

After serious HFS+ corruption and 19h failed recovery that happened to me lately this is the kind of news that I want to hear... New emoticons... Yay!

Update: Sierra needs at least 16 GB ram. Have you found the Easter egg yet in Sierra? I was told it's a QuickTime movie seeing Timmy counting beans.
Sierra needs 16GB ram yet they can only provide 16GB maximum?

Yeah, it's a real bummer that file system engineers were pulled from their area of expertise to be artists!!! I just can't BELIEVE IT! /s

This round of updates broke my Logitech wireless back button. I found an update on their site saying they are aware and working on a fix but otherwise no issues so far.
I also had the same issue with my Logitech mouse with media playback and so forth. this new beta 2 actually fixed the problem for me. But I'm not sure on your part.

I was seeing similar "pausing" caused by spelling autocorrection. (System Preferences:Keyboard:Text:Correct spelling automatically) It was so bad I disabled it. Misspelled words are still underlined, so I know to go back to correct manually. I don't have any such issues with 10.9.5 (but didn't run 10.10 or 10.11). Writing comments on sites like here at MacRumors was excruciating; but the problem existed in apps other than Safari too, like Messages.

Has anyone else experienced a Bluetooth bug in this 10.2.2b? Installed on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) and Bluetooth was marked out with a cross on the menu bar and inaccessible in SysPrefs (stated "was not available to you"). Deleted my Bluetooth prefs file, shutdown and restarted and it came back ok..

No fix here. The mouse works but the back button does not. I found a similar issue on their site related to my issue that said they are aware and are working on a fix. I tried to manually assign the button but that does not work either.

In the end its not a huge deal, just annoying.

Then don't use the beta. Release Sierra requires only 8GB.

If you do want to use a beta, stop whining on forums and get the appropriate hardware.
Oh alright. But sorry. My 4GB computer can run Sierra decently so.
Good luck.
