10.10.3 introduced bugs such as problems with the memory card in the side of MacBookPros showing as Read Only when it isn't.

Did you revert your computer that was having this problem to 10.10.2 or earlier? I'm still not seeing this problem on any computer with 10.10.3.

Ahhhhhh...! Finally!

Am I the only one who feels delighted to read news about the Mac? Among all those (boring!) news about the Apple Watch?

Even if it's just about the n-th iteration of a Beta and the news only talks about where to download it ("same place as ever") and what was in the previous release... ;)

----------

Downloading now... I hope there's an update for Photos that will fix the issue I'm having importing my Aperture library.

Why? That fix is long available:

*duck and cover*

----------

You mean 'Downloading,' right?

You probably missed the joke...

More like: "We will cut the cords, total iOSification, no escape!"

----------

Can I get a status update on those who were downloading 'now', whenever 'now' was? Is it complete? 75%? Installing? TIA.

Colonel Sandurz: Now. You're downloading it now, sir. Everything that downloads now, is downloading now.

Dark Helmet: What happened to then?

Colonel Sandurz: We downloaded then.

Dark Helmet: When?

Colonel Sandurz: Just now. We're downloading now.

Bugs in Finder

Does this beta fix the bugs in Finder? I'm particularly having this issue with All My Files folder. It doesn't show all the files that I have opened recently until I quit and restart the Finder or computer.

I'm afraid to ask, but will they finally fix wifi?

I'm still randomly losing connection but I've discovered a pattern. As soon as I do something that doesn't require the internet, the wifi goes. For example, If I'm working in Pages and quickly want to look something up, wifi = gone.

This is a problem with your router. I had the same exact problem, until I moved and got a new router then the problem disappeared. I don't know what caused it cause I wasn't able to fix it on my old router no matter what setting I toggled.

It's not a rumor. Apple dedicated a large group of their developers to work on the USB-C initiative. In fact, they had more developers working on USB-C than any other company other than Intel.

Apple had 18 engineers working on it. The others were:

Intel (24)
Microsoft (16)
Google (10)
HP (6)
Dell (5)

I'm not sure that "Apple dedicated a large group of their developers".

"Wi-Fi" is not a protocol.

And you're being pedantic.

I updated last night and it broke imessages. It crashes every time I open it. I don't text alot from the Mac but thought I would post it if anyone has any issue

Where I'm from, 18 developers is a large group. And in the context of who committed the resources to USB-C, Apple was the second largest. You're being a bit pedantic in my opinion since the original statement said that there was only a rumor that Apple contributed anything at all to USB-C which is completely false.

Apple contributed a large group of engineers, in fact the second largest and almost twice the number Google committed. Only HP and Dell, and maybe Google would I call not committing a large group to the development of USB-C if you look at the distribution.

4th times the charm?

This one will finally fix my WiFi problems right Apple????

Think if I actually want the problem fixed I should go back to Snow Leopard.

Sorry. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme (5th gen). I'm not replacing my ****ing router to fix a bug Apple introduced with Yosemite!!!

Anyone else having Safari issues? One site I use won't load at all, but loads fine on a Macbook with 10.3. But random sites are hanging with the SBBD, requiring me to quit Safari and relaunch.

Yes! Only on my current gen 27" Retina iMac. My current gen Mac Pro and 2012 Mac Mini HTPC are fine. iStat Menus and others app's including Finder point to Safari cranking my memory and cores. All systems have the same third party addons - Flash, Air, 1Password (beta) extension. That's it.

I've run diagnostics, seems I have to reinstall 10.10.3 and hold off on 10.10.4 until this issue is resolved. First time in 10+ years this has happened as an OS X developer.

I personally feel the wifi stability has improved a bit. I still cant get my head around why my download speed on wifi halves as soon as i connect my magic mouse though.

Didn't try that yet, but often wifi loses connection when just using Safari...

I'm really starting to think it something with my router here. Because, at college it just works fine and thats when there are 30+ MacBooks around me interfering. But the thing is, at home, there are 3 other (Windows) laptops which just work fine.

If you are using the WiFi off your ADSL Router/Cable Modem and not an AirPort Extreme Base Station to be the WiFi hub all I can say is, ``wow.''

Never had a problem with the Extreme. What ADSL/Cable Modem are you using? If you happen to have Wifi enabled on either one [ADSL Router/Cable Modem] then disable it.

Could be your Bluetooth signal is causing noise/distortion to your wifi signal. Try a different bluetooth device and see if the same thing happens?

Interference patterns fighting over the frequencies available. If your mouse is at 2.4Ghz and the Wifi is at 2.4Ghz: due to one device not supporting 5Ghz like an older access point [even though it supports like the Airport Extreme Base Station 5Ghz] the timing between the two devices using the same mesh frequency will interfere with one another.

Ideally, if all wireless points are at 5Ghz your mouse should never interfere.
