Interference patterns fighting over the frequencies available. If your mouse is at 2.4Ghz and the Wifi is at 2.4Ghz: due to one device not supporting 5Ghz like an older access point [even though it supports like the Airport Extreme Base Station 5Ghz] the timing between the two devices using the same mesh frequency will interfere with one another.

Ideally, if all wireless points are at 5Ghz your mouse should never interfere.

Magic Mouse uses: http://www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet/072/BCM2042.php

Could well be that then. My Router is BT Home Hub 3 which i don't think is dual band. We've been having issues on all computers with the wireless randomly slowing.

Are anyone else having this issue? For some reason.. The new 10.10.4 Beta (Developer beta) has removed the translucency of my Notification Center

I've tried restarting, turning on and off translucency and nothing has worked. Apple better release a new update next Monday, I'm one of those who actually enjoy the translucency and I hate to have it taken away from me.

If someone knows a fix, please let me know. And no, reinstalling OS X is not an option for me. :p

Well I'm pretty sure (could be wrong) but Apple doesn't make routers and certainly the 5th gen. Airport Extreme is not a router....just a radiowave transmitter/receiver. My router is a Huawei VDSL router with its wireless transmitting/receiving turned off and connected by an cat 6 A spec green :D ethernet cable to my 5th gen. Airport Extreme......and everything (WiFi) works just fine even using 10.10.4.

Sorry. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme (5th gen). I'm not replacing my ****ing router to fix a bug Apple introduced with Yosemite!!![/QUOTE]

Anyone getting a hiss through their headphones every time a sound starts playing that goes away after about 30+ seconds? Restarts again as soon as a system sound is playing.

iMac 5K with the latest beta. Only noticed it after the upgrade. It's like a low thermal or tape hiss you used to get with cheap recording equipment back in the day. Extremely distracting.

It appears to happen every time the audio interface is accessed. When I went to record it with Audio Hijack Pro the hiss started as soon as I hit record without any sound playing.

The recording itself shows zero samples (no noise), so it's got to be on the output circuitry only.

There are lots of apple discussion threads on this on older machines, but nothing on newer. Solutions seems to be to change the sample rate on the output in Audio Midi Setup, but nothing changes no matter what I do there. Ugh.

it is for me and my colleague. Both have the 10.10.4 public beta (14E11f).

Same. Transparent here on 5K iMac.

I'm not hearing this using a USB headset (Logitech) on a MacBook Pro (Late 2011).

It has been like that for me since forever on a 2012 rMBP. I'm currently on Mavericks and can't say for sure that it still happens (I got so used to it that I don't notice it anymore) but I am 100% sure that I had the issue at least for some time.

If you are using the WiFi off your ADSL Router/Cable Modem and not an AirPort Extreme Base Station to be the WiFi hub all I can say is, ``wow.''

----------

Never had a problem with the Extreme. What ADSL/Cable Modem are you using? If you happen to have Wifi enabled on either one [ADSL Router/Cable Modem] then disable it.

It's a regular modem we've received from the company that offers the internet. Its the biggest company here in the Netherlands, so I doubt the modem is crap. I'm not a noob with computers etc. but I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to network issues.

Early 2011 MBP here running the beta. At the risk of sounding ridiculous, Safari is much more responsive in this beta than on 10.10.3. I've noticed incremental improvements, albeit slow, with system responsiveness since the 10.10.2 betas. This feels like the closest it's been with this Yosemite feature set to all-around good performance. This is coming from a HDD-based system too. Hopefully the rest of the betas improve too.

nMP 2013 8 core,
While native OSX shell works decently, just about everything else hangs, stops responding when quitting, memory leaks-a-gogo. This is more of an alpha release than a beta. Wish I could roll back.

Im not having issues with many apps hanging when quitting but the memory issues are incredible. Especially with Safari.

Is iMessage syncing all your messages from your iphone to your mac?

I only see syncing for people that use an iPhone too :s

no, totally my problem, I had to switch the message forwarding on on iPhone. Ignore this please xD

(Already reported via feedback)

I downloaded and installed QuarkXpress 2015, and keep getting the 'can't open downloaded from an unidentified developer' dialog box even though I changed my settings... And still 10.10.4 refuses to open to finish install/registration...

Any thoughts while I wait for the next beta update?

Today I found out the hard way that if you revert back to stock Yosemite (currently 10.10.3), you'll be locked out of your Photos library.

I wonder, when 10.10.4 is released, whether the same thing will happen if someone downgraded to 10.10.3. If so, this appears to be quite a severe version lock-in penalty. There may be times when a downgrade is legitimately justified (e.g. to fix a particular version-specific problem being experienced).

For me, I'm either going to have to wait until 10.10.4 final is released (and hope that fixes it), or try and hack my library open somehow.

Surely you did a backup before upgrading your photo library to a beta?

I don't suppose you have AdBlock Plus in your Safari?

Backups are for wimps. Or sensible people. Or both, not quite sure.

(Yes, everything is backed up, but not a full OS Time Machine backup)

hey guys, can u please check if this option works for you?

active corners in system settings, try setting it to screen off. this does not do anything for me.

if i set it to mission control, or launchpad it works.

can someone reproduce this?
