This beta appears to have fixed my printing issue with 'smnpink' keep popping up. Thank you Apple as this was annoying.
Something went wrong with your update to 10.10.5. Trimforce is still there, and still works. My MacBook updated to 10.10.5. When I went to enable Trim support via "sudo trimforce enable", it would give me an error that "command not found". Reinstalled 10.10.4, and was able to enable TRIM support no problem at all.
I will give my impressions of Windows 10!
Tried Home and Pro on 3 different machines.
1) 2 yr old notebook-FAIL BUGGY
2) 2 yr old PC w/i5 and 12 g memory-FAIL BUGGY
3) Mid 2011 Imac w/ 12 g memory under OS X 10.10.4, Parallels 10-FAIL SAME BUGS
Rather than go into great detail, It ran slow as Sh**, where w7 runs fast!
Disk access was slow, and the new browser, EDGE, was fast but a royal pain, waiting for pages to finish loading to use it!
Many "features are "hidden" and you must use the search bar to get to them, including most control panel settings!
In each case, I reverted back to W7!
OS X 10.10.4 runs great here BTW!
Unfortunately it's not in 5K, but at least it looks great on Snow Leopard.I have fallen in love with this desktop, which goes nice with Yosemite:

Apple today seeded the second beta of OS X 10.10.5 to developers, two weeks after seeding the first 10.10.5 beta and one month after releasing OS X 10.10.4 to the public. Because we're just a couple of months away from the public release of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, it's possible that OS X 10.10.5 may be one of the last updates to Yosemite.![]()
Today's beta, build number 14F19a, can be downloaded through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store or through the Apple Developer Center.
The first OS X 10.10.5 beta did not appear to include any consumer-facing changes, so it's likely that this update focuses on behind-the-scenes bug fixes and performance enhancements.
Over the course of its lifespan, OS X Yosemite has received four updates. The first two brought bug fixes and security improvements, while OS X 10.10.3, the most significant update to Yosemite, introduced the new Photos app, Force Touch APIs, new emoji features, and more.
OS X 10.10.4, the current version of Yosemite, also focused on bug fixes and stability improvements, most notably introducing TRIM support for third-party SSDs and eliminating the Discoveryd process that caused ongoing connectivity issues in the OS.

For number #2 above, it's a hardware issue for current Macs. They may support it in future Macs or use USB-C for the connection port. I would think it would be USB-C that Apple will use for future connection ports since the current MacBook utilize the connection.Yosemite still has 3 problems, 1 fixed in El Capitan, 2 not.
#1: The Display Preferences Boot LOGIN Screen in Yosemite still does not work as in Mavericks.
It always boots to the wrong display.
#2: Apple refuses to support double sided USB cables that you can plug in either way.
#3: Bluetooth issues are not fixed still even in El Capitan yet.
I just don't understand why these simple fixes can't be done. I mean Maverick boots to the right display, so does El Capitan. How can they not know the solution to this problem for Mac Pro users with multiple displays and all kinds of different connections?
As time goes on and more and more personal devices get "connected" (i.e. the internet, peer-to-peer, etc.) the consumer expects more and more possibilities. Why on earth are they developing a new os every single year????? Get a life apple. Missed you snow leopard so much
.....
Myself I was talked out of putting a Samsung Evo 840 SSD into an older (2010) iMac, due to fans spinning at full tilt, all the time, but apparently SandBoxGeneral, one of our mods thinks he has a workaround for that, and once I locate that post again, I will run it by my trusty (former) Apple Genius Repair guy, who has set up shop himself, and go ahead with that SSD upgrade, especially now that Trim can be enabled. .
If we were stuck at 10.6.8 (as many regard this as the most stable OS X version - personally I find 10.4.11 even more stable...) you wouldn't be able to keep up with the needs and wants of the modern consumer.
I also still use OS 10.6.8 on one of my systems. Runs fast still and efficient.
It is fixed. I verified by trying it myself, but Stefan Esser commented here too:Did anybody check if this has been fixed in 10.10.5? http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/07/22/os_x_root_hole/

Sorry to read this, but it seems you're alone on this one. Don't be a drama queen. There are bugs, but nothing like the way you say it.

Not being a Drama Queen, Luis!
I am NOT Alone, if you do a simple Google search, you will find the items I mentioned, ie: slow boot times, video driver issues, oops, " SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED" and lots more.
I am not throwing out my created USB installers, but will wait for some more patches...OH, and also there is the AUTOMATIC UPDATE, if you want them or NOT!
I have found, of late, that it is best NOT to be an early updater, be it OS X, or Windows. I waited for OS X 10.10.3 before finalizing my Imac.
Huh, alone, I've read plenty about bugs and problems. In fact, praise has been pretty faint for Windows 10. When someone's whole comment is "it's better than Windows 8", "it's as good as windows 7" or "meh" in the best of cases, you know you've not hit a home run....
Windows 10 is basically an outgrowth of 8.1, so its like they've had 3-4 years to get it right... And its still not that great.
Expectations must have been mighty low!
Finally...after a year of waiting for OS X Yosemite to get stable and working the way it was suppose to be over OS X Mavericks it finally works.
Now...another....OS X El Capitan comes out and so far riddled with bugs to be worked out in the beta. OS X El Capitan is suppose to be the improvement over OS X Yosemite, but so far in the beta version has a long way to go.
This has happen every year since I can remember. We have to wait a year until the "New" OS X is stable and working properly and then considered "old" and outdated once it finally works...then another...
Humm....maybe in my mind I should think when a new OS X comes out officially, it is a beta for a year until it is finally stable. Just think that when the fall season occurs, the release of a new OS X is a preview edition until a year later...
I cannot believe what I am going to say: After twenty years of Microsoft's attempts at putting an OS out the first time that works out of the box....I think that finally hit it with Windows 10.....
Might have to stick with OS X Yosemite for awhile....
Snow Leopard...I am dreaming...
#3: Bluetooth issues are not fixed still even in El Capitan yet.
