So the final release will be either tomorrow or thursday please?

I've got a case open with Apple, and they won't come close to even hinting that it's coming out, even though its release would fix the issue I have. Even though it would undoubtedly fix the issue I have.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that there are people at Apple that won't know when it ships, even after it has shipped. Loose lips sink iOS sales? So many people have my issue, I'm surprised they haven't come up with a 'fix' for us/me. *shrug*

Welcome to the club. Try the salmon, and the apple pie is delish... I can't get my brand new Xs Max setup so I can use it until I get both the 8+ and the Max on the same iOS. It sucks. Everyone seemed to be surprised I wasn't hostile and screaming at them. What difference would it make.

Once its out we only need to update the new iphone as it needs to be the same or more updated to restore

What issue will the update solve? Nevermind - you have an 8 and different version.

Apple clearly doesn't think some things through.

Have you tried updating your 8+ to iOS 12.4 beta, backup and update the XS Max software to iOS 12.4 beta and then restore your backup?

Why do people keep saying this? So, your credit score takes a five-point hit one month. *gasp* It will easily and quickly rebound. Unless you have frequent hard pulls, there is no issue.

It’s the impact it can have if you are applying for new credit in the next 24 months: home loan, car loan, etc. outside of your credit score, it can have effects.

I understand if you are building credit and need more accounts, but if you have an established credit history you should start to be selective with your pulls.

In my case I will be getting a new car at the end of the year. The difference between no pull and 1 can have a significant impact on interest rates.

I thought about it, and discussed it with the Apple engineer, and he said that the beta is just that, 'test software'. There is no guarantee that features, and operation, won't change, and that there might be issues that the beta software has that the actual shipping version won't. He also said that you can't restore a beta version of software over a released version, and downgrading the Max after installing 12.3.4 beta isn't going to get me where I want to be. *shrug* I'm waiting...

The 12.4 beta is actually very stable. I’ve been on it since the first one and it’s nearing for release soon. In March when I upgraded phones, I was able to backup my previous phone (which was on a version of the iOS 12 beta) and restore to my new phone after I downloaded the beta onto the new phone. Everything came through and I had no issues. You’ll just have to wait until 12.4 releases to the public.

So, will 12.4 ship this week? Not holding my breath, but it is a new week. Another week for Apple to do people right who are stuck not able to use their new iPhones.
I’m praying it comes no later than tomorrow. Sometimes releases happen Monday, so it could even be today.
