I just created a HS DP7 install USB and booted my stacked MBP with ALT with the intention of booting from the USB, but I thought I'd just try to boot my main partition again (which was getting the no go sign) and it booted.

Imaging now.......

Hmm, no public beta yet. Makes me wonder if they are letting this one have a day or so for TRIM feedback. Just a guess, but you never know.

not showing up for me in AU either :(

What has actually happened is that there are 2 developer software update catalogs.

Those whose catalogs was set to see index-10.13seed-1.sucatalog.gz were able to get beta 7.

If on the other hand it was set to see the much more complicated merged one
index-10.13seed-10.13-10.12-10.11-10.10-10.9-mountainlion-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog.gz you were previously unable to get beta 7 because it was about 2 hours later that this merged one got updated.

I would suggest to try again now because both catalogs are now up to date.

Anyone got the release notes? What changes are there from the previous beta? 3GB is a big download, so i'm wondering whether I should skip this one. Thoughts?

I had BIG problems with DP5, and ended up restoring my MBP a few times. Finally DP6 worked on my MBP, nMP and my MBA. Now I am a bit hesitant jumping onto DP7...

I will confirm. Early 2011 17" MacBook Pro, Samsung SSD....TRIM enabled with their new file system. Seamless update.

After update, it is not mounting an external apfs storage drive. It worked until this release. Tried repairing, and it give me this error: object (oid 0x1): o_cksum (0x2a753bf2ea9a40cc) is invalid for object

Tried repairing/mounting from Terminal and Recovery Mode, with no luck. Sent feedback to Apple.

For all the haters of the new "Application" icon... We still have the old one in the finder!!!

Apple today seeded the seventh beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra update to developers for testing purposes, a week after seeding the sixth beta
Sixth public beta released a week ago.
Update: Apple has also released a sixth public beta of macOS High Sierra for public beta testers
Sixth public beta released again yesterday?
Or is it a typo and yesterday the seventh public beta was released?

From a user perspective, It doesn't make sense to have to different icons representing the same.
It's bad usability design.
I believe they will change the side bar icon as well, in a future release.

P.S. I don't like the new icon either, but the most horrendous is undoubtedly the Safari icon, which doesn't follow any of Apple's icon design guidelines.

I can no longer boot after installing DP7. I get a question mark at post.
I'd been running DP5 and DP6 with no problems. APFS conversion went fine. Mac Pro 5,1 firmware installed fine both times.
DP7 killed my OS!
Anyone else?

Did you update the system, or performed a clean install?

Try boot from the Recovery HD, open Disk Utility and repair the boot disk.

If that doesn't work, boot again from Recovery HD and format the disk.
Then perform a clean install.

Don't forget to report the issue to Apple.

I can't work out why the System Prefs icon is square? The design of the cogs would work perfectly well in a round icon like Safari, Siri, AppStore, Photos, iTunes, Launcher and so on...
[doublepost=1503401524][/doublepost]WHOOO HOOO!!!! The bug that causes Microsoft Office to lock up the Finder and fail to save when attempting to save to a Drobo NAS has been fixed! This is big news for me. The problem has been about since Sierra. No more saving files to the desktop and copying back to the drobo. Happy days!!!

Anyone else got a problem with Touch ID disappearing? When I try and launch from Spotlight I get a message about needing to connect a device.

FYI, the first public beta was released right after the second developer beta. I hope that you can handle the rest of the math.
