Workaround: (A) Use apply .toolbar(removing: .sidebarToggle) within the sidebar column of the inner NavigationSplitView. Alternatively, sometimes it might be possible to workaround (B) by moving toolbar items around or rendering them after a short delay.

Can’t these idiots do anything right these days?
Three disasters in the last month and they still haven’t learned a lesson. The entire team needs their pay docked especially their stupid a** lead.

“Failed to personalize” error. Whatever the F that means.

Yep, I am getting this OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Apple, please pull this release and give us one we can install. You test these a little before pushing them out right??? I can't even open "Find My Mac" - when I enter the menu, it gives me some message stating I won't be able to locate, lock, or erase while it is asleep because Wake for network access is turned off. Then I have an "Open Energy Saver" button and Cancel button. If I open Energy Saver, it just bleeps and nothing happens...great

Almost missed this one in all the iPad mini hoopla.

Downloading now. :)

Edit: I'm getting that same "Failed to personalize the software update. Please try again." on my MacBook Air M1.

Hmm...trying a restart (as always), and disabling Private Relay (until tomorrow), to see if that helps...

Edit 2: Nah, still getting the error. Gonna try again tomorrow, I think... oooor... it seems to be preparing now. It only took an hour or so... :p

Maybe I can get it done before bed after all. (It's just past midnight, local time.)

Gettin same error as folks above and can’t install. What a joke on Apple‘s QA (if there’s any) nowadays!!!

I couldn't get my M1 MacBook Air or M1 Pro MacBook Pro to update. Eventually the Air did, but I'm still getting the failed to personalize error on the Pro.

Update: It finally installed on the Pro.

Having same issue with my M1 MBA. Had no update problems on my M1 iMac, M3MBA or M3MBP. I don’t understand how Apple can continue to have unreliable downloads so frequently.

Updated: Finally able to install B7 on my M1MBA. I did turn off find my mac but not sure if that made any difference.

I've also got the "Failed to personalise" error. I tried a few things as suggested in another thread, to no success. So, I'll just wait until it's sorted.

Same issue as everyone else. I was just now able to get it to work by initiating the update via Terminal.
I suspect Apple fixed something on their end and getting it to work via the Terminal is a coincidence.

*Followup: confirming the update installed, rebooted, working as expected now.

Code:
sudo softwareupdate -i -a

I tried that terminal command about an hour ago without any luck.

Latest update bricked 16inch mbp. Just going round in circles. Installer started, restarted the Mac then in a progress bar loop. Just sits at the same point. And then after a long time restarts. Gets back to the same bit and does the same.

It's usually applicable to your Apple account verification via a internet connection. I did 2 Macs via OTA one using ethernet, the other WiFI successfully.

What some do is toggle WiFi off, then toggle it back on.
Shut the Mac down and then after a pause power it up.

Now try to do an install of MacOS.

Remember this seeding must verify your Apple account you use with PB or DEV account. This is a very old issue that happens to some with some seed versions through the years. Not new.

Once I disabled NextDNS it actually finished downloading. For some odd reason it wouldn’t even finish downloading this beta with it enabled.

Fingers crossed I don’t lose any data here.

EDIT: Updated w/o any errors. Weird times to be in Apple ecosystem.
