Given that none of the new features are available in the EU, neither A.I. nor iPhone mirroring, this version is totally useless for us. Shame on Apple for limiting A.I. to English, and for locking these new features in the EU. I wonder what is still driving European customers to buy an iPhone 16, for example. Waiting until 2025 for it to be partially functional?
I change the settings on my MBP and iPhone 16PM and are using what is available in the beta today. No problem. If it continues to work like that once the official release is out remains to be seen. But nope, not missing out on anything.

Waited overnight and it finally worked, after 10+ attempts and trying everything everyone suggested, it just came down to waiting overnight.

I don't want to jinx it, but I think that system firmware for my M1 Ultra (Mac Studio) finally fixed the Universal Control issues that have been plaguing me for years. A common pattern I saw was other M1 or Studio owners having the most problems, someone speculated it was a hardware issue or something with bluetooth in these early M1. I opened countless feedback/bug reports with Apple. I guess they finally listened!

yeah it may also explain why there isn't an ipsw this time, at least not yet. maybe even apple couldn't upload it, and we'd have no chance getting it even if they did.

and ipsws are signed aren't they.

so they can't be doing the ipsw when the signing doesn't even work.

Hopefully macOS 15 Sequoia will be much better than Sonoma.
18.0.1 seems better than zero.
What is wrong with Sonoma? It seems ok, sure not perfect, but what Os is?
I am in no rush to get Sequoia, certainhluy not wth all the AI rubbish in it.

Successful in the second attempt. Re- downloaded and installed it on my M3 MBP after first customisation error

I’m in the EU and have iPhone mirroring and Apple Intelligence enabled. There’s an incredibly easy and fast way to enable these features. Simply set your iPhone’s regions to the USA and your Apple Store to Canada. There’s no need to create any additional accounts, as everyone seems to be suggesting. I’m surprised no one has tried this method yet, as it’s incredibly straightforward.

Don't even need to change the app store ;) My iPhone region is set to the USA, then I manually adjust it back to the proper formats for my region.

I tried Sonoma installs a handful of times and eventually gave up on it, got weird graphics problems, kernel panics & hangs, corrupting external ssd’s, just a hassle every time. Went back to the purple monster which has been 100% fine since matured. But by now, since they’re already on to trying to shape Sequoia up, maybe they’ve got the instability sorted on sonoma? Maybe I’ll give it another shot this fall yet. The hastily bodged-in Ai features are too new to be anything more than a gimmick to me at this stage anyway. When ai can actually make useful mechanical & structural engineering recommendations I’ll be interested, but a simple LLM aggregator/regurgitator isn’t going to do that.
