My ReSound hearing aids work perfectly with 18.1 developer betas. No issues with any of them.
My Oticon hearing aids have been working fine in 18.1 on the Public Beta channel.

Meant for the Air Pods Pro 2 ... (my original post now updated to reflect this).

Am glad 18.1 is working well for your traditional aid ... my 92yo mom is about to replace her 7yo ReSound (has MFi 1, with simplex streaming) with a BICROS, and is very much looking forward to the upgrade to duplex streaming.

I developed weird wireless charging issues this morning and now the beta seems to have fixed them so that’s nice at least haha.

I still have issues with touch screen on iPhone 16 Pro Max with latest beta. Also, besides the input lag there are some occasional freezes in apps just for scrolling. It is most frustrating part. You can tap on things and they work, but if you try to scroll it just doesn’t work until you restart an app.

I think it might be related to that issue which is several months old:

I just asked Siri about the best camera stores around here and one of the three results was CVS Photo.
o_O.

Any feedback on 18.1 so far in non AI capable phones? Interested in trying it ìm on my 13 pro

Wonder if MS Teams is still a complete mess with this beta. Only fix is to completely disable Apple Intelligence (not just the app) and it still can bug out after a couple days.

WatchOS 11 (non-beta) is also a mess. Outlook Calendar is using black text now if any watch face is set to colorful. If you switch to a rainbow background or pick a single color the text shows up fine otherwise you just get black on black.
Wow, what a devastating mess on WatchOS11! Shut the whole operation down, Outlook Calendar is using black text now 🙄

Anyone knows if apple inteligence is now available for Australia or still stuck in English US?

Can anyone please update on touch issues specifically regarding keyboard. I am on 16PM and since launch I am having touch issues when pressing alphabets and backspace in particular, it tends to not register the touch even after updating to iOS 18.0.1

18.1 is US English only, additional English variants - UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa IIRC - will be in 18.2 in December.
Thank goodness, I briefly set my Siri language to English US to try it out but then of course it began spelling things the American way when dictating messages in the car and people kept correcting me 😅.

Swiftly changed it back and decided to wait.

Yeah it’s still a thing. Having issues typing out this reply. Everyone seems to think it’s screen protector related, however I’m not using a screen protector. I noticed that it’s a RAM issue. When I close out of other apps, I can then type again and clearing my cache helps.

I’ve persisted with US English on mine for now so I can have a play with the a.i. bits. Main issue I’ve had is that one of my most used recipe apps now gives me ingredient amounts in cups rather than grams so if I’m cooking and it’s not a recipe I know quite well I have to change back to Uk English until I’m done!

I’m hoping the 18.2 beta with UK English support will be out very shortly after the 18.1 proper release so I can change back full time.

Anyone have any issues installing iOS 18.1 beta 7 on an iPhone 15 Pro Max? It fails verification and gives me the error: “Unable to Verify Update. IOS 18.1 Beta 7 is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.”

I deleted the download and tried a second time. This also failed verification after downloading.

I did some more research on this. There’s a thread on similar difficulties with updating macOS Sequoia 15.1 Beta 7. There seems to be a consensus that this may be a problem with M3-based devices. Since the A17 Pro is essentially an M3 Junior, it’s quite possible the problem is with only those devices. Someone in the Mac thread said that Apple may have a fix by Wednesday or Thursday, so it might be best to just wait a couple of days to update.

Can’t get verification on my 16 Pro Max.
