It surprises me that we still have no swipe gesture in Finder, would be so nice to have swipe left and right for navigating forward and back in the folder hierarchy/history, the same way we do in webbrowers etc.
I normally use column view since it has sideways scrolling of folder trees.

Yeah that might be a culprit, because yes I have a glass trackpad. My three-finger drag is broken, I have no reason why. The bug/reason might have somehow altered functionality, so three-finger drag items/Finder windows has been replaced with three-finger back and forth through Finder windows.
This seems to be the case. When I switched from the default to three finger swipe, I lost three finger drag.
