Just updated this morning, and for the first time both my Magic Keyboard/mouse disconnected from bluetooth randomly. I will continue to monitor, but hopefully this was a one-off.
Indeed, that does appear to be quite excessive. However, it's not drastically different from what I've observed on my own MacBook Pro 14 with a 512GB capacity. I've noticed approximately 38GB of system data occupying my storage. It's worth noting that this system data encompasses cached information, contributing to a smoother overall user experience. Furthermore, this data's size is influenced by the available empty disk space, tending to shrink as the disk becomes fuller. After installing DB6 yesterday I checked storage to see how much space macOS was taking up on my SSD. When looking at that, glanced at system data which was around 10GB. Larger than normal but nothing I was particularly concerned about, especially after installing the update. Today, I cleaned out some gif's, .mov files, png's, etc from Messages.... Did a restart and checked my storage again..... OVER 56GB OF SYSTEM DATA!!!!! WTF????? Anyone else notice this? 2022 M2 MacBook Air
It going to stay like this for years"Open Link Behind Mail" in Mail still opens a window with the Safari page in front of Mail, although the app technically is still in Mail as the active/forward app.
Reported during last beta. Will update my report. Anyone else find/try this?
I had a drop of both (Magic Trackpad in my case) - then a "define your keyboard" dialog and then the trackpad reconnected. No problems since. So some sort of reinitiating it seems...Just updated this morning, and for the first time both my Magic Keyboard/mouse disconnected from bluetooth randomly. Wel played 🥁I can't complain too much. I'm always having problems with MY backend.
The previous beta (5) was causing a few of my apps to lock up hard once or twice a day (Mail, Fantastical, iTerm2). Hopefully that smooths out this beta.
In general, this has been a really smooth beta ride!
For me DB1 was a gem, DB2 and DB3 had some apps quitting (Safari for example), DB3 revised (first PB) was improved. DB4 had that mostly fixed (PB2). DB5 introduced some new issues. Such as DB5 battery optimization was causing M1 Max MBP to reboot when shut down. DB6 fixed that reboot problem.
I seen the same with MacOS 14 beta 6, its been a pleasure using it since last week. It's been a week and haven't had a single one of those apps go unresponsive on me yet. Definitely feels like that issue was resolved.
Hope the Charging/Rebooting issue on M1 Max MBP is fixed.
Update: It is fixed
