At this point the builds will be exactly the same, but the public builds will be just a couple of days later. But yes, you can make the change in the settings app->general->software update. Just select the public beta channel instead.

It won’t change your current install, but will then wait to prompt you for an install until the next public release.
Hmm, the only options it's giving me are developer beta or no beta. I guess if what you say is true, then it's no biggie. But I would like to get on the public beta setup as I am not a developer.

Have you registered for public betas before? I think you need to sign up for them at beta.apple.com for the option to show up even if you’re already registered for the developer betas.

Thanks. I tried that but it's not showing me any option there to enroll in the public beta.

I think I need to unroll from the dev beta program. But I am not quite sure how to do that.

Anyway, it's no biggie. But I am definitely curious why I am stuck on the dev beta program and how to get out of it.

I'm going to risk turning indexing back on and see how it goes. Hopefully the fix is as easy under B6 as it was under B5.
Well, it was good for a day - but earlier this morning free space started to disappear again. I excluded my main HD from indexing and it seems to have fixed it. Come on, Beta 7!

Still having Airplay issues (mix of Sonos, Marantz, Naim and Apple HomePods) with dropping connections and not finding Airplay devices. Also DropBox do not have a stable release for Mac OS 26 yet. Corrupted desktop wallpaper still an issue (custom photos not the built Apple defaults). Fails to roam on Eero mesh network properly for some reason. Sequoia is fine. This is still a seriously buggy release.
Airfoil is and has always been the better Airplay solution. Especially for cases like yours, with the potpourri of hardware. I hear it runs on Tahoe --> https://rogueamoeba.com/status/
