I have a MacBook Pro early 2011 - it has been awful with lag in 10.9 betas. The GM was okay, but still lots of lag. The newest beta is working much better for me (not sure if its the beta or the 16g of RAM I just installed - had 4).

I have always had 8GB which I think should be enough for basic use. I'm pretty sure that RAM is not the issue in my situation. Most likely, it's the poor graphic drivers for NVIDIA 320M.

BTW, did you get to observe your macbook on 10.9.2 beta with 4GB RAM? If so, how was it?

So when do you guys think 10.9.2 will be ready to go public? It kind of reminds me of 10.8.5 which had been in beta for ages before it went public ...

This update killed iCloud and is causing huge headaches. I am getting repeated popups of "messages agent warns to use the "login" keychain. Please enter the keychain password." "Accountsd wants to use the login keychain," "CalendarAgent wants to use the login keychain" etc. but every time I enter the password it does not recognize it. I cannot do anything to get these popups to go away, even if I hit cancel.

What's going on??

Can anyone help me solve this? Would be very appreciated :)

This usually occurs when/if your Keychain is reset, most often using a previous user account password will resolve the matter but you will need to fix it via "Keychain Access" in the Utilities folder. Some have simply repaired their keychain(s) while others had to delete and start a new login keychain. Sorry I can't help with an exact solution. Try searching around for "Keychain Access" reset articles, it may point you in the right direction.

Here's hoping they've fixed the audio bugs with the 2013 MacBook Air.

Maybe this week (tomorrow perhaps) or maybe a new beta build will be released this week and that would probably mean at least one more week before official release.

I would say it's pretty certain it's here before March at least. But one can never know for sure…

ah ok. So 10.10 would be new features but 10.9.2 or 10.9.3 would just be bug fixes?

Not 100% but any new features in a point release are fairly minimal compared to the major releases.

Doh ! I know its not Apples style but surely the whole point of a release note is to tell you what they think has been fixed.

I assume they want to spend their time actually working on the OS, not writing up extensive release notes, especially release notes for betas that the general public won't even see. Generally when they think they have a bug fixed they contact the testers who reported it for follow up.

I didn't unfortunately. I wish I had.

One issue I am having with the current beta is emptying the trash with anything over a gig in it. It as slow as a Secure Empty Trash.
