Apple is shipping the new MacBookPros with a different OSX build (14C2513) apparently. So even though its still versioned as 10.10.2, it's probably closer to the 10.10.3 beta.
But then again, it was only speculation :)

Yeah I don't think so, they might run a slightly modified version of 10.10.2 to support force trackpad but I doubt its closer to 10.10.3 since that makes no sense.

It does have some new 10.10.3 features, such as the link preview. Without knowing the code base, you can't definitely say what else have been backported in order to be compatible.

They are running 10.10.2 with force trackpad support, that's it.

Actually, XP SP3 with all the subsequent many years of patches put in, was/is quite stable. There's a reason companies didn't want to budge from it. I had heavily used machines that I didn't have to reboot for more than a year, if ever. Though I wouldn't call it secure at all! Craphole security! That's the main reason to upgrade.

Windows 8.1 is not even now at the level of stability of XP SP3 though its approaching it.

Yeah, a year without restarts will miss out on a lot of security patches.

I wouldn't say I'm as of late is restarting OS X for any reason other than software updates and that I want to run a particular game in Windows.

I've been on OSX 10.9.5 and have been happy to not have upgraded with host of issues people have been reporting. I think I am finally going to upgrade now and I'm hoping it doesn't become a regret.

I read on an article today about the new photos app that OS X 10.10.3 is being released publicly today (Wednesday 8th April). Is this true?

If so, do public beta testers get chance to move to public release instead of beta release?

I also saw it on another one but can't find it. They both say, "new OS X 10.10.3 available Wednesday"
