Downloaded and working well. I have been using a mini 2 and an iPad 2017 to try the public betas from the third version. They are just getting casual use but they have been really smooth at every update. The mini 2 has been brought back to life. Not as fast as a pro of course, but no longer stuck in the mud. I like the optimise and refine approach. It is really nice the simple addition of a long hold on the space bar with only one finger puts you in trackpad mode. It is the easiest most fluent way to move the cursor to date.

I would be very happy to see an early event for the iphones this year. Can someone tell me if they think they will launch sim free the same time.

Been on the public beta since about 3 or 4 and it is very fast and stable on my ipad pro 12.9 v1. Not willing to put it on my iphone se.

AM waiting for one of these updates to fix the constant 1 notification on my Settings icon that was a result of the Beta 8 glitches. A very small thing to be sure, but I still find myself checking much more than I should....

Log out of iCloud and log back in. Fixed it for me

Are there usually different build numbers between the iPhone and iPad?

(I ask because my first get 12.9" iPP has be "Up to date" whenever I've tried to update)

I’m sorry iOS 11, I really am. But you’re going down in the history books as the OS that wanted to be great, but never could.

Agreed. iOS 11 is the first iOS which led me to adopt a relatively early public beta for my iPhone (I do it regularly with the iPad, but have never done so with the phone until very very late in the test cycle... in this case, I held out until the second Public beta, because could it really be worse than iOS 11?).

I would like to see this become the rule, rather than the exception. AFAIC, a stable and reliable OS is the "feature" I care the most about.

iOS 11 gave us some good things. The dock and better ways to run multiple apps, drag and drop. They are game changers. The downside was performance. iOS 12 is like the second half of the iOS 11 show. Today’s beta really feels like a finished version. Even little stutters are gone. It’s like they removed some testing overhead and let it rip.

Any beta testers experiencing the following phone issue: When prompted to call a contact’s mobile number, Siri responds that the person doesn’t have one, and instead offers to call a home number.

Actually, this happened to me yesterday on the previous beta. I am normally prompted if I don't specify which one to call, but Siri just went and called the home number. After hanging up and asking Siri to call the mobile number of the contact, it just went ahead and called home again.

Will log a report to Apple.

I’m waiting. There doesn’t seem to be a single feature that I feel I am missing out. I can’t remember a single beta where I felt that.
I really am only looking forward to CarPlay and waze and that isn’t coming until release.

Ok, installed the beta on primary driver with some trepidation. All seems well however. Make phone calls, bluetooth, check Facebook, email and safari all working properly. I'll check the rest tomorrow, and we'll see how battery life is.

Grouped notifications are really nice.

This seems to be buttery smooth on my 7+. I’ve been running it since B2 and things have improved with each release. Very few issues overall.

Yeah, I’m also seeing this message. Hope they didn’t mess up the expiration date for the beta in the new update. Maybe we’ll get another update tomorrow!
