I didnt even update to the latest iOS beta yet and my Video app got replaced. It got an updated indicator dot next to it.

Edit: i dont get it. How do i switch from tv shows to movies and how do i see my own stuff. Also "Watch now" doesnt work for me. Blank page with "everything you watch" at the bottom cut off and not able to scroll

Edit2: Amd now the Video app randomly popped up again on my 2nd page :D

So with the Video app being replaced by the TV app where do users home videos go?

Why is this added to every iOS update?

Yes, iOS 10 is the biggest release ever.

Before that, iOS 9 was the biggest release ever.

Before that, iOS 8 was the biggest release ever.

Before that, iOS 7 was the biggest release ever.

Before that, iOS 6 was the biggest release ever.

(etc., etc., etc.)

Next year? iOS 11 will be Apple's biggest release ever!!!

Apple does the same thing with the iPhone. New iPhone comes out = "This is our best iPhone ever!"

Next iPhone comes out, "the best iPhone ever!"

Next iPhone comes out, "the best iPhone ever!"

It's redundant. They aren't going to release an iPhone that is crappy and an iOS release that includes nothing new.
Why not? It's basic marketing that has been done that way for all kind of companies, products, and services for ages (think "new and improved", or "better than ever", etc.). Anyway, doesn't really have much to do with this particular beta.

I finally figured it out. Now I see it.
The reason Apple pumps out endless OS updates that really don't do anything is to wear-out-our-SSDS so we need to buy another iPhone sooner than later.
It took awhile, but now I'm on to them.
Seems like even a "decent" sounding conspiracy theory hasn't even been figured out.

I don't subscribe to any of the few apps that work with the Watch Now portion of the TV app. Hopefully they add more services soon.

Just updated... I'm somewhat disappointed about the latest updates, that the only new feature is another country discriminating app (TV). For the people outside of the US the newest and "biggest" features are new emojis and new messages effects (Celebration and Love for now). And I really loved the SOS feature (I even tried it out and it turned out that works even in Bulgaria, so it should work fine in other countries) and now I fell like I have downgraded. Outside of US the videos app and it's widget are still here.

Both Flash and SSD don't use moving parts. SSD is typically in the form of a 2.5" disk that requires a SATA or PCIe connection port to the logic board. Flash on the other hand is directly mounted to the board. The memory itself most of the time is very similar. But regardless, iPhones are not using an SSD.

On another note, Flash uses less power than an SSD and obviously uses much less space.

Flash is a generic term for electronically erasable programmable read only memory. I believe it was even a registered trademark of intel once but I'm not sure. Old motherboards had intel chips that said flash on them. Ssd is commonly made up of flash chips but with faster read / write rates and a disk drive interface.

I just updated, TV app is there and Video app is gone as stated above. I couldn't find my videos so I tried to reload them. Got an error message saying the Video app was missing and my movies could not be copied. Searching the app store on my iPad with Video didn't find it, you need to search videos.

Then I killed iTunes and started WALTR. It copied the movies and said they were in the Video app but they showed up in the TV app under Movies.

Gotta love betas.

Odd. The Videos app and widget are still present on my iPhone 6 and I'm in the US.

in essence SSD is a flash, just another form factor.

Call blocker and number lookup apps still showing error since beta 2
