iphone 6s with beta 2, not showing beta 3 in the software update. Do I need to just wait or do something special?
I'm not a dev, still on beta 2, but I noticed a trend where the public beta would be 1-2 days after the dev version, although they have sometimes, on the rare occasion, released the dev and public betas at the same time.

Apple today released the third beta of iOS 10 to developers for testing purposes, two weeks after seeding the second beta and more than a month after first unveiling the new operating system at its 2016 Worldwide Developers Conference.

Today's update is available as an over-the-air download to those who installed the first beta or the beta configuration profile and it's available for direct download through the Apple Developer Center.

iOS 10 is a major iOS update with a host of new features and design tweaks, including a new Lock screen experience with 3D Touch-enabled notifications, a more easily accessible camera, a redesigned Control Center, and a new widgets screen.

Messages has been entirely overhauled with features that include background animations, bubble effects, Digital Touch, handwritten notes, Tapback replies, predictive emoji, and its own dedicated App Store, and Photos has gained impressive facial and object recognition capabilities along with a Memories feature for rediscovering forgotten moments.

Over the beta testing period, Apple will tweak the features introduced in iOS 10, and in iOS 10 beta 2, Apple launched the Messages App Store and added organ donation signup functionality, among other changes. New changes in beta three will be listed below.

iOS 10 is currently available to developers and public beta testers, with a full public release planned for the fall. For full details on iOS 10, make sure to check out our iOS 10 roundup.

What's new in iOS 10 beta 3:

Locking haptic feedback - When locking an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, there's a small haptic vibration to let you know the device has been properly locked. On other devices, there's a new sound when pressing the power button.

Touch ID - There's a new Accessibility option that allows users to open an iPhone with Touch ID with just a finger on the button, which is the way Touch ID worked in iOS 9.

Keyboard sound - The muted popping-style keyboard sound that was introduced in beta one and removed in beta two has been reintroduced in beta three.

Siri - In Settings, there's a new "App Support" section of Siri that will display information on which apps work with Siri and access your data.

Audio fix - Audio playback through the internal speaker will no longer stop because of haptic feedback.

Quick Actions - In iOS 10 beta 3, a 3D Touch on an app icon will now bring up a Share option that includes the name of the app. Previously, the app name was not included.

Health - There's a new "Improve Activity" option that allows you to send anonymous health-related information to Apple under Settings --> Privacy --> Diagnostics and Usage. When you open the Health app for the first time in iOS 10, there's also a pop-up that gives you the option to enable it.

Audio with Bluetooth headphones still chopping like hell and the volume issue still persists. But thankfully, we've now got a vibration when we lock the phone.

I know it's so cliche but things are genuinely snappier and more stable with this build. It's all a lot smoother. Though I am still getting the weird Java text box glitch thing on MacRumors. Page scrolls to the bottom whenever return or backspace are hit whilst typing in a text box. Only MacRumors where it happens. Someone said it was a Java issue?

Hmm. "Cleaning", is that new? Never seen it do that after an app update before.. Have you?

Nope, not new. This is a screenshot from iOS 5 that I had. I knew it'd come in handy someday...

My understanding is that Cleaning means it's removing all the old cache and stuff from the app to clear up storage space. Not sure if that's 100% correct, but I've only ever seen an app do it a few times.

Can anybody find out if iOS 10 has fixed the "Time To Leave" feature in calendar where it only works with driving? That feature is currently useless to most people living in cities who don't drive. It should allow you to select transit or walking as your "Time To Leave" default or show all 3.

You two are on your own ,lol.
Everyone I've shown the new features are impressed.

That's just because they're new and different features. They get old real quick, especially those goofy background animations. That is something that I honestly will NEVER annoy someone with.

How about for those like me stuck on public beta 1
How do i update to Beta 3?
I am desperate , my phone has so many bugs ..
what did i get myself into???.... LOL

Haha, I used the disco one yesterday @ Chuck E. Cheese to tell my fiancé the lights & noise were getting to me.... but yeah, sparingly is the key!

That seems like an appropriate use of that goofy-ass feature :) Yes, please use sparingly or she may not go through with it! haha j/k

Hi. You can go back to safety:

1) Download iOS 9.3.3 ipsw directly from Apple

hint: google "9.3.3 direct download"

2) Do a custom restore

hint: http://jaxov.com/2012/08/itunes-select-restore-custom-ipsw/

(edit: Also, unless there is a catastrophic issue with this iOS10 Dev beta #3, it will very likely be available to the public by tomorrow as iOS 10 public beta #2)

Hey Guys,

I was on IOS9 tonight. I updated to IOS10 Beta 2 as I left my iOS 10 Profile still installed. Then once I was on that it wouldn't find the OTA update for Beta 3. I uninstalled the iOS10 Beta profile, reinstalled it, restarted and checked for update and boom, there was beta 3. Hope this helps.

Does the today widget make a comeback? It's kind of annoying having to lock your device or look at the calendar for todays date.

Sounds like you have a developer account. David_19 is on the public beta, so I don't think your use case would work (edit: unless he goes the $99 Dev route of course or finds an alternate method).

Not using them would seem to do the trick.
