Seriously, how hard is it to fix the calculator bug?!? It’s so stupid, it just needs to be fixed already!!

"You're typing too fast. You have to slow down your workflow." - Tim

Perhaps it is an iOS bug and not a bug in the calculator app.

I am sorry but that is not a valid answer. I did not run single beta on my phone. I went from 10.3.3 which was silky smooth to 11.0.3. The difference is like I went back in time in phones. The response of do a full wipe and re-build is not acceptable. I am not supposed to just loose my iMessages every year cause apple can't be bothered to write an OS that is not so laden with bugs that I have to contort my self to make it work passable. Thats the thing apples official line is wipe and restore from backup which is the same things as upgrade. If the issue is a bad setting file then they need to take ownership of that and make it right. They need to test against real world users data migration. This every year oh well mine is fine wipe yours thing has to end. I know what your saying. I do it I have done it and will probably have to do it. That is still not an excuse. iOS the windows 7 of mobile operation systems. When it does not work just wipe it and start over every 6 months cause well....... thats the only way to make it work right signed apple

I never said it was an excuse. It's a fix. There is obviously something wrong with the upgrade process from 10 --> 11 that Apple has yet to fix, that is causing so many issues with some people and no issues with others. For all we know it could be some 3rd party app, or some obscure setting, that is causing issues during the upgrade.

It does appear from both general consensus and user feedback that iOS 11 was rushed and/or unfinished. If nothing else, the removal of 2 big features (Apple Pay Cash, iMessage in the cloud) before launch could be an indicator that they simply ran out of time until their release date.

Instead of seeing a million threads and complaints about battery life, slowness, apps crashing, whatever, just take the time and do a factory reset, and *then* post results.

You understand that every article about iOS 11.1 betas are going to mention the new emoji because it’s a new feature in iOS 11.1 and those betas are coming out weekly. Are you guys really going to complain every single time a new iOS 11.1 beta comes out?

Yes. We don't need freaking emoji's. This is just re-inventing the wheel with a shiny new cover on top.

Battery life on my 7 and 7 Plus has been great with the latest betas. 6 or so hours with full screen brightness on the 7, and 10-11 hours with the 7 Plus.

There are close to 500 million people on iOS 11. A few hundred (or thousand) posting about issues online is hardly significant.

What were you saying about critical reasoning again?
Claiming that the issues are limited to a "few hundred (or thousand)" is what's known as a claim without a warrant. In layman's terms, you're just making **** up.

I've had decent luck with iOS 11 and the 11.1 beta on my 7. Occasionally my bluetooth music drops out for a few seconds, then comes back in. Occasionally some operations cause some stuttering. Overall quite stable.

I’m also have the same issues with Bluetooth dropping out. Did you report it in the feeedback app

iOS 11 has been a nightmare on my 7plus, battery problems, Bluetooth fail with my portable Sony speaker... started phone as new then made a recover from an iCloud backup and battery seems ok but Bluetooth problem still there

This is no surprise. Touch ID already has this same behavior as long as the notification settings are set up right. This example is just using Face ID instead if Touch ID.

Except FaceID is much better as it’s literally as simple as picking up your phone to look at it. No action (putting a finger on the Home button) required.

Wonder if this fixes the bluetooth sound issue a ton of people have been having (including me).

Once the phone takes a call on bluetooth, it stops working for normal calls until you restart. They can hear me, but I can't hear them. Super frustrating.

Yeah, I've been having some weird issues with my AirPods. Every time I'd choose a song and quickly put the phone to sleep it'd cut off. Sometimes for just a few seconds before reconnecting, other times I'd have to change the audio output from AirPods to iPhone speaker and back again.

like some others have reported, this is the snappiest build of 11.x

been running every single version of the public betas and this is the best version so far, including the GM. running on 6s+
