Apparently, Apple engineers never bothered to test the iOS Reminders application with more than 1 item in a list. Does we finally have options for automatic sorting in Reminders?

Could somebody explain to me why they not fixing to LTE issues?????
this is likely an Intel modem and carrier issue they need to sort out - I've seen folks in twitter saying Apple engineers have contacted them to get the device logs to troubleshoot the issue - hopefully, they can have it ready for 12.1 with a carrier update.

What is the LTE issue?
Many people, myself included, have been having horrible cellular LTE reception issues with the XS/XS Max.

I bought my XS Max on launch day and have AT&T in NYC. Cellular/LTE reception is horrendous. Averaging ~1-3mbps and regular dropped calls and signal loss. There have been people reporting this across carriers in all regions. Even those with the same carrier and in the same region are having different experiences.

Myself and others have been in touch with Apple support engineers who have asked us to send them sysdiagnose files and logs. I have been working with someone for almost 2 weeks and unfortunately have received no updates on if they have determined a root cause.

Some have returned/replaced their phones and even that seems to be a mixed bag. Some have said their replacement units are working as expected while others have gone through more than 2 phones and claim they all have had the LTE issues.

Frustrating to say the least.

thanks for the explanation - everyone is saying LTE issues without describing - wondering while you are at work or home - do you experience the same issue over WIFI calling?

Unfortunately I do not connect to WiFi at work due to company restrictions, but I do use WiFi calling at home. It had been hit or miss as well. However with yesterday's 12.0.1 update resolving some of the WiFi connectivity issues (mine included) I haven't made calls since then to really test. I am going to assume it's better given my WiFi speeds have returned to normal post fix.

Apple today seeded the third beta of an upcoming iOS 12.1 update to developers, one week after seeding the second beta and three weeks after releasing iOS 12, a major new version of the iOS software.

Registered developers can download the new iOS 12.1 beta from Apple's Developer Center or over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

iOS 12.1 includes several new features that Apple promised would come to the new iPhone XS and XS Max devices. The beta introduces support for the eSIM, which is a digital SIM that lets you activate a cellular plan from a carrier without the need to use a physical SIM card.

Carriers will need to implement support for eSIM, which is likely to happen after iOS 12.1 launches. In the U.S., AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile will support eSIM.

The iOS 12.1 update brings a new real-time Depth Control feature, which lets you adjust the depth of field of your Portrait Mode photos before you capture them. Right now, in iOS 12, Depth Control is only available for post-capture editing.

If you tap on the "F" icon at the top of the screen while capturing a photo you use Depth Control to adjust the amount of background blur in an image.

In addition to these iPhone XS and XS Max features, iOS 12.1 reintroduces the Group FaceTime feature that was removed from iOS 12 during the beta testing period. Group FaceTime was present in many early betas but was ultimately removed because Apple needed more time to test it.

Group FaceTime is designed to let iPhone and Mac users conduct video and audio chats with up to 32 participants at one time, with new camera effects features included.

The update adds more than 70 new emoji to iPhones and iPads, with options that include red hair, gray hair, curly hair, cold face, party face, face with hearts, mango, kangaroo, peacock, lobster, cupcake, and tons more.

As for bug fixes, iOS 12.1 addresses a charging problem that could cause iPhone and iPad models running iOS 12 to fail to charge when connected to a Lightning cable while the screen is off and it fixes a bug that caused iPhone XS and XS Max models to prefer 2.4GHz WiFi networks to 5GHz networks, resulting in perceived slower WiFi speeds. Both of these bugs have also been addressed in the iOS 12.0.1 update, released yesterday.

If any additional new features are found in the third iOS 12.1 beta, we'll update this post with details.

I’m surprised to see weekly updates already. But am I complaining? Nope.

Anyone know if the modem firmware or the carrier settings were updated on this release?

Slowdowns on the xs (max) still visible when watching video on 1080p24hz with auto brightness turned on in changing lighting environments.

It is visible on 1080p24 on YouTube, iTunes and Netflix .

Make sure you have auto brightness on, and try to switch from dark to light environments when watching 1080p24hz video.

Was there from official IOS12 and still not fixed.

You should switch to Verizon in the NYC market at least. I have the XsMax in Manhattan and the DL speeds are 70-100 Mbps typically and I got as high as 180+ Mbps. But for me, the LTE signal in the office buildings seems to have a bit more difficulty than my iPhone X.

I just ran it in Manhattan inside and I got 70 DL/ 40 UL.

That's your problem, ATT service in NYC is horrific. Truly.

Anyone having an issue where edited Live photos synced to MacOS Mojave via usb are not syncing back to their iPhone Xs iOS 12 through iTunes (Live within the MacOS photos app). The picture sync's just not the live feature, non edited live photos synced just fine. Not sure if this is limited to Mojave, iOS 12, new iTunes or the new iPhone Xs.

I have tried un-syncing and re-syncing, Repairing photo library, rebuilding iPod photo cache with the the photos library, and restoring my iPhone and still have the issue. Thanks!!

Are you anywhere near an Apple store?
If so, why have you not exchanged it??
I would have had it replaced asap.

I had wifi and LTE issues since receiving the Xs on launch day. Have a mesh network with plenty of speed. Xs was buffering videos constantly. LTE loosing connection during a call or receiving a bad signal in areas that the X was fine. Yesterday, I was on the phone with Apple and went through the typical Apple low level response...reset everything. Once everything was up and running 12.01 came out and updated that. Wifi is better from what I can see however, LTE is still bad. Reported to Verizon and opened a ticket. Need to wait five days for a response after they do some testing. This is NOT good.

Bought the phone on launch. Went to Genius Bar that following Monday. They all told me they didn’t think a replacement would do anything. At that early in this whole issue, they advised it might be software and told me to wait for news from Apple. Shortly after that I was contacted by Apple support to gather logs and sysdiagnose files.

Ultimately they will honor a replacement but both the apple support technician and I are in agreement that until they know what the issue is, I don’t want to swap out the phone just to potentially have the issue again.

I wish I didn’t sell my 7+ or else I’d definitely have returned and went back to the old phone until Apple figures this out.
