Grab.app has been in Mac OS X since the very beginning. Kind of sad to see it go, but I haven't used it very often, only when the keyboard shortcuts didn't suffice for some reason.
No more NeXTStep camera icon... :(

Do more people have issues with the Mail app constantly freezing? I've been having it since beta 2, and it seems to be recurring in beta 3 as well. :(

I know it's a beta, very well aware of that. But I was hoping that beta 3 would fix it. Not sure if anyone else has been having the same problem? There could be another reason for it after all. :p

Its only me or safari and mail.app keeps freezing? Im resorting to Chrome and I keep force quit-ing Mail.app. Just upgraded to Beta 3 and it keeps happening.

I use it all the time...... :(

I’ve been usung the PB for a week now. I love it except for the bugs it has and that fact that it slowed down my computer which is noticeable(2017 13”MBP)

People are posting bugs and all. But... Why are people not talking about the beta slowing down performance!?

Is this common for betas(never used one before) which gets fixed in official release?

Yes, it is common for a beta to be slow(er) than normal, given all the logging scripts that are put in a beta.

The reason a people of people aren't talking about it on here, is because many people understand what beta software is. They aren't expecting it to be as fast as final release software.

Adjust your expectations accordingly.

Running Developer Beta 3 and my dynamic desktop has stopped working completely...

Is this what you're referencing?
(From the macOS 10.14 beta 3 release notes):
"Grab
- Deprecations
• Grab has been superseded by the new Screenshots feature in macOS Mojave. An app launcher for Screenshots will be available in an upcoming beta. (39515054, 40151799)"
RIP Grab.app

Yes. It's very common. There will be major slowdowns, lots of bugs, and plenty of missing or partially implemented features. That's the point of betas.

iTunes has been forced to iTunes 12.7. Not a big fan of that. Also some safari plugins stops working because they are "insecure". Time to restore from Time Machine backup. Dark mode looks decent though.

Too bad my very capable mac mini with AMD graphics is not supported.

Is spotlight still not opening apps?
Does the lockscreen still show a different state of the dynamic wallpaper than the desktop?
It seems that the safari login bug is fixed, from what i read on this forum.
Are stacks still lumping every desktop file within a single ‘other’ stack?

As it did with Beta 2 my Mail App is still freezing in Beta 3. Also, I can't open Photo's without it freezing as well... My FaceTime is also freezing...

Really delighted that apple have also released a full installer for beta 3 too. To get it just run the beta access configuration utility which opens the system updates system preference pane. Don't just open it yourself because that just gives you the delta update.

Anyway I was lucky because I backed up after downloading the full installer but actually updated the normal way, i.e., I didn't use the full installer to update but did it via the delta - basically because it is faster. BUT the reason I was lucky is because after updating via the delta update, the full installer disappeared! I expected the pkg files to disappear from the /Library/Updates folder, but I didn't expect this process to also delete the full installer too from my applications folder!

However I was able to retrieve it from my backup and made a bootable usb installer of beta 3.

So if you update via the delta but also download the full installer I would suggest backing up before updating.

Also you can copy the full installer to an external drive - but importantly DISCONNECT THE DRIVE BEFORE UPDATING.

I would be very happy indeed if they make full installers for ALL betas. Previous mac os betas certainly didn't which was sometimes frustrating. Who here remembers the ridiculous thing of having to install 8 deltas in the proper sequence in order to get to the latest beta? That was terrible. Windowsesque actually and we certainly don't want that. So if we get full installers for all mojave betas that would be awesome.

However be very careful to back them up before updating.

OK - we're getting there. The only issue I have is with Little Snitch. Until you upgrade to their latest nightly build, you cannot use internet connected apps, including Safari. Funny enough Google Chrome works...

On my fully loaded 2014 MacBook Pro all is fine and all apps are working. I am a photographer and have tons of small graphics applications, as well as utilities unique to Nikon.

And, I wish someone would post more dynamic desktops:)

Hhhmmm, not all true. I remember instances in the past when some betas were faster then the final release. Still a valid point to discuss.
