LOL. That strikes me as very odd to add support for that GPU. Does any Mac even come with that???
Several of us have them in our machines.

It is more efficient, I'm finding 16 gigs works great with Photoshop/CaptureOne Pro 21, and everything else I use on my M1 MacBook Pro. It's as good and faster than my 2018 i9 MacBook Pro with 32 gigs of RAM.

But remember, these M1s are the future entry-level Macs that people will use for word processing, spreadsheets (moderate level), email, texting and watching movies. If you want to use Logic Pro, FinalCut Pro and similar software, you're gonna want to wait. And getting impatient only five months after than M1s were released, in an era of ship shortages, is probably not reasonable. Have patience. What you want will come soon.
Please come out with any M1x or M2 APPLE chip Mac that supports 32GB of Ram
8GB and 16GB are ridiculous even though system on a chip ram is suppose to be more efficient.

I just got rid of my 16-inch last week. I'd only used it once since I received my BTO M1 MacBook Air with 16GB RAM, and was reminded of why the Apple Silicon 16-inch MBP can't come soon enough.

On the 11.4 beta 3, I set my Mac Pro 7,1 to update overnight and it was all done and back at the desktop this morning.

I was on the 11.4 beta 1, but an unusual issue had me return/reimage to base 11.3 public release and then the recent 11.3.1 update seems to have returned a kernel problem darn similar to what we encountered late stages of 10.15.5 testing.

How is the kernel stability in 11.4 beta 3 been for you guys running intel Macs? Thanks

11.4 Beta (20F5065a) runs well on both my Mac Pros. I usually only run Beta software on my Mac Pro 2013, but since 11.3 RC screwed up the Thunderbolt Bridge I use between my Mac Pros and my QNAP NAS, I upgraded both.

So far after a days usage running the problematic examples from 11.3.1, I seen no evidence of 11.4 b3 causing same issues. Glad that is over. :)

It would be much nicer if Apple added support for the Radeon 5500M and 5300M GPUs that spike power consumption on the huge number of 16" Macbook Pro's that have already shipped. It's a huge problem that doesn't occur in Windows.

It's all covered here in one of the most popular threads on the forums.

I can confirm that this Beta is not fixing the problem.
