Absolutely. I can't use it on my machine. I've often reconsidered reverting to my backup. Waiting for this new build to see though. My biggest issues on a MBP are:

1) 10 minute wait on the boot screen with the apple logo (every @#@#@ time)
2) Crashes when lid is closed but will sleep fine if lid is left open
3) Seems to pause every few minutes
4) Battery got warm and had a red indicator menu bar last night. Despite just wanting it to sleep, it drained the battery.
5) XProtect bug wants to check every file I open

And that's just the start. Every other OS beta they've released was more stable that this for me. . To me it seems they've started over again but my question is why? Shouldn't they just be polishing the latest Sierra code which had some of these bugs worked out rather than start from a whole new codebase? Some of the errors (like the Xprotect one) were present in every early beta.

I think the switch to APFS is a big part of the re-write. I agree High Sierra appears buggier than other betas at this stage and was a bit surprised that the second developer build was released as a public beta. Warnings or not, if you make a beta public, people will use it when they probably shouldn't.

This is one of the few developer previews at least the last 6 years where 'it seems' that I spend more time on the machine reporting bugs than actual work.

A lot of the issues are somewhat based around RAM issues. Primarily where non-stock RAM machines that have been running 100% rock solid day in and day out are now panicking and crashing every 20-30 hours.

This is what was happening to me on beta 2. Back on Sierra 10.12.6 beta 6. Think I'll wait for beta 4 of HS before experimenting again.

Firefox keeps crashing on me on every page I go to with the new beta.

On Twitter anything that has media on it, I get the error "The media could not be played"

I did not convert to the new file system as I have Parallels on the machine with a Windows 10 partition.

Windows pop to the left of your screen(hard to get them back in center since they go out of bounds),

Sadly, that problem also already exists on Sierra. Don't know what triggers it, but it has bothered me a lot recently. BTW: Option-click the Window menu and select "Arrange in Front" as a workaround.

has wifi disconnection issues

ditto

Apple claim High Sierra is compatible with the Late 2009 iMac.

Don't believe a word of it.

ITS A BIG FAT LIE!!!!
Compatible and utilizing all the new features are not the same thing.

I am still trying to find a list of what new features in Sierra and High Sierra work on which machines (Metal??)

For all of you who don't have the space to install this AND have 2 Macs you can do the following.
Note: one of the Macs should have enough space.
Or download the needed .pkg it from the Dev account.

There is an easier fix, I have 2 Macs, on one of them I downloaded the updates, before Software Update asks you to install the Update, copy MacOSUpd10.13RecoveryHDUpdate.pkg over from the one Mac to the other Mac, it's located in /Library/Updates.
Double click the installer, it should install, next restart in Recovery mode, it should now have the newer High Sierra Installer, did it on mine, worked.

NO the damn thing just won't install (Error Verifying Firmware).

It has been the same with all three builds thus far.

Just about to try the dosdude1 High Sierra Patcher as that utilises the El Capitan installer.

I’m having this EXACT issue w/ my 2014 mac Mini, but it is the Apple original, maxed out model.
It has genuine RAM. However, for the last Beta- there wasn’t one day that I didn’t wake it to the “your computer has restarted due to a fatal error” message. I started trying to remember to shut it down if I thought I wasn’t going to use it for a few hours; which I haven’t had to do on any OS for years... I’m hoping it’s sorted.
I’ll report back.

Do you have 2 Macs, or can you download MacOSUpd10.13RecoveryHDUpdate.pkg from the Dev. site, if so you can install the update the way I did, it's one post up from you.

Dont use on mac its still major buggy not good for your machine
well this can go either way
is not really a bad advice
but is really up to the computer owner what they want to do with their system
while i really will like to take HS for a test drive, i really think is better to just wait a little longer
the betas are coming out fast, so i will not have to wait that much
who knows maybe they are stable but like a said i personally rather wait little longer
but who ever wants to install it in their system that is completely all right with me
i can only speak for myself
maybe i'm missing all the fun for being so cautious
i'm waiting for PB4 to install it
probably just 1 more month

Thanks for the suggestion.

If unsuccessful with the dosdude1 High Sierra Patcher which utilises the El Capitan installer I give the MacOSUpd10.13RecoveryHDUpdate.pkg a go.

Thanks again.

Rats. I still can't test out the High Sierra beta with any SoftRaid volumes connected—instant lockup. So until SoftRaid releases a beta compatible with High Sierra and/or APFS, no fun for me. :(

Normally I would have jumped on the beta on day one. However with the new filesystem there is just too much risk for corruption. Going to wait this one out until september

You don't have to upgrade to APFS—you can install the beta and keep your HFS. Then you can upgrade your volume to APFS in the Fall with the official release.

I tried beta 2, but it sucked for my laptop. Froze when it fell asleep, got warm when asleep, and battery drain. Early 2011 17" MacBook Pro. Oh well. That's the point of betas, to fix this stuff.

Please please file a bug. Your machine is one of the accursed muxed graphics configs Apple dearly wants to kill, and neglects through willful ignorance.
