Please... For the love of Steve Jobs... Can we get an Apple Music widget please??? I use a few widgets now and they're "nice" to have, such as my battery widget, weather and calendar but I would use the H*LL out of a music widget. They brought window snapping, I can mirror my iPhone... But a music widget? Oh noooooo, that's apparently WAY too difficult... 🙄

Is anyone else having trouble getting this beta to download? I've attempted it five times now on my M3 MPB. Four of those times It started but then abruptly stopped and I got a pop up saying the beta could not be downloaded and to check my network. My (1 Gig symmetrical fiber) network is fine. The 5th time it stats to download and just hangs. Never had so much trouble downloading a MacOS beta before. (PS: I have toggled the Beta update option and have also tried restarting but no joy).

In Beta 3, when you maximise (fill) a window using the window snapping feature, it will no longer take into account the Dock.

This means that the window fills all the way underneath the Dock.

See screenshot: Window size after filling. The Dock isn't set to auto-hide.
You are correct.
On my Intel Mac, the Dock Auto-hides regardless of what the Auto-hide settings is (on or off).
To invoke the dock move the pointer to the bottom of the display and force it down one more time.

But I think the correct behavior would be as before. If the Dock is permanently showing, make the window full-screen up to the Dock. Although that may not be a good thing if you want to watch a video in full screen, and the dock is at the bottom ruining the fun.

EDIT:
If you double-click the title bar for a window, it will resize to reach the top of the Dock.
And I'm starting to realize that the way it works now may be a better way.

I'm having an issue now as I have the dock on the side (not set to auto-hide) and it doesn't overlap the dock, but now if I have one left and one right they overlap each other which isn't necessarily desirable. Wasn't an issue in B2.

iPhone Mirroring is not available in your country or region. And with that, Europeans, we are so grateful to our burocrats to keep us in the dark.

I hope so too! It’s needed for the new wide screen mirroring, and I’m eager to try that out on my AVP.
Same here, but I’m also excited for how it improves some of the current resolutions and their frame rates.

Has Apple finally fixed the crippled energy saver scheduling? With 13.x and 14.x the scheduling can't be accessed through the system settings. The originally set startup and shutdown times work sometimes. I have an iMac Pro. If it shuts down (at night), in the morning it won't startup or starts up with an error. If I shut it down directly then it usually will startup.

I know that this can be adjusted through the terminal but still...

This is also the beta which will let you sign-in to an Apple Account (finally!) when running it as a VM.

AltTab can't get permission for screenrecording anymore, no matter how often you allow it.
But previewing Office documents in Finder and Dock has been fixed for me.
The solution below basically works for enabling screen reording in AltTab. Just do the process below but replace using Teams with using AltTab.

The Solution: While you are in a Teams meeting and click on the sharing menu (you are not sharing your screen, you are just in the menu) you´ll see the greyed screens. Go to Setttings --> Privacy & Security --> Screen Recording...and turn OFF Teams permission. If prompted to close and restart the Teams App, click on it. Teams will restart. Go back to the Teams meeting, click on the sharing menu (remember, you are not sharing your screen, you are just in the menu) and you´ll see no screens are available (remember, no permission). Go to Setttings --> Privacy & Security --> Screen Recording...and turn ON Teams. If prompted to close and restart the App, click on LATER. If you now close the sharing menu in Teams and right after, you click on it again, you´ll see your Screen(s) are NOT greyed anymore and you can start sharing as expected.

Does anybody know if the latest version of Paralells runs on the beta or any of the previous betas yet and allows you to boot into a Windows 11 VM with Windows on ARM without any kind of huge performance hits or anything like that. Yeah, I know the whole (don’t run it on your daily driver routine) but I run the iOS and iPadOS betas, the WatchOS 11 beta and the VisionOS 2 beta on my daily drivers without any issues. I backup often and could easily restore back if I ran into a show stopper pretty quickly. I’ve got an older Intel Mac that I can use with Boot Camp as a backup if I have to as well.

I’d really like to try iPhone mirroring and would be more than willing to put up with annoying bugs as long as I can run Windows on ARM via Parallels occasionally for work when I need it if the trade off was being able to use that feature alone.

Is sequoia newer than leopard? Is Sonoma a wine region? Is maverick a horse? I really don't like the fact that things have no numbers. I miss OS9. And up though 10.6 there was sanity. Then it ended. Now I guess we've got 10.6.14.8.marmot. I don't think I'll install it until dot 21. /s Sort of.

How many betas does Apple typically do lately? A dozen?

Yeah, I got that.

For fun, I rebooted and then after it failed again, rebooted my router and the laptop again and it worked.

I think the only thing that solved it was the delay :)
