When is the so called AppleFS coming out? I thought that was one of the new features of Sierra...

Apple is still working on the backdoor for the CIA. Until The Company signs off on it there won't be a release.

[QUOTENo specific changes, bug fixes, or feature additions were discovered in the first two betas, but we'll update this post should any new features be found in the third beta.[/QUOTE]

We need more emojis. How can I function on a computer without little pictures that express how I actually feel? Maybe in 10.12.4.

It's early days but an issue I had with the previous beta appears to be fixed. Swiping left in Safari often caused a 2-3 second delay freeze; especially noticeable when going back from a forum topic to the topic list (such as on this forum) and going from a page back to google search results.

As an aside, as has happened on almost every beta update for the last few months, installing it caused my Apple ID to lock requiring an unlock and new password (plus logging back in to everything on my laptop and iPhone afterwards).

I've updated but haven't noticed any improvements in Lightroom (which runs incredibly slow on my maxed out 2016 MBP / 460).

Thank Adobe for this, Lightroom has always been a pile of garbage in this regard. They seem to only optimize Photoshop.

What makes you say this and they say the other?

Looks the drivers were modified after installing the latest beta on my end (if I'm looking in the right place...).

What tasks are you performing in LR? I haven't found this to be slow at all on my tMBP 13".

Just wanted to mention that this beta fixes the graphics problems I was having on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011) / AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB - especially since I could not find anyone else who had reported this problem...

More specifically, the installation of 10.12.2 (release version, not beta) broke my external monitors. I have twin external monitors working on this laptop, via a Thunderbolt docking station.

The station actually employs two TB "devices" in series to facilitate twin external monitors. For whatever reason, the 10.12.2 broke or disabled compatibility with using >1 external monitor for my laptop and/or GPU.

I would imagine this also would affect anyone who has daisy-chained two TB monitors in series in a similar configuration/GPU. I'm just happy I have my workstation working 100% again.

Otherwise, I am yet to find any other fixes or bugs in using this beta.

Wait, seriously? They removed that?! My god, they really do hate their desktop users.
They removed it because it seemingly was providing incorrect (and thus misleading) information in various cases.

woah, this is a thing I've been looking for. what dock do you use??

For the record. Someone here said that the graphics drivers were update. No. That is not true. The only changed kexts are:

AppleBackLightExpert.kext
AudioAUUC.kext
IOGraphicsFamily.kext
IONDRVSupport.kext
System.kext

The rest is about signature changes. Nothing more to see.

Can someone confirm the conflicting reports on the drivers being updated? Where does one even look?

I second this. Until then, I found a workaround that adds the time remaining back to the menu bar.

[pasted from OS X Daily]

Restore Battery.menu from a Prior MacOS Release
This one is a bit more advanced and involves mucking around in the system folder. It’s also trickier because you must have the Battery.menu file from MacOS 10.12.1 or earlier after you have updated to 10.12.2. If you plan ahead of time, you can simply copy the file yourself from the following location:

/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/

Locate the “Battery.menu” file from 10.12.1 or earlier and make a copy of it to your desktop or elsewhere easy to find.

After updating to MacOS 10.12.2, you will then restore your just backed up version of “Battery.menu” back into the /Menu Extras/ directory.

You might need to disable SIP to accomplish this process successfully (be sure you enable it again afterwards), or boot into Recovery mode and move/copy the earlier version of Battery.menu after updating. I went with the latter approach, and it works fine.
