Breaks Blizzard games

Seems like something has changed which stops Battle.net updating correctly. Don't install if you need a gaming fix.

I find potential with the new info in Quick Look and the three-finger tap's web pages preview seems a nice addition.

I really like that preview is now accessible with a 3 finger touch (not click) and the preview of web pages with the same gesture. It makes it alot easier and convenient.

The three-finger tap for Quick Look (what you refer as preview) has been there since Mountain Lion. http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/mountain-lion-the-new-quick-look-gesture

I am having the same issue.
it's not the updating.

This beta seemed to have screwed some permissions in some cases.

Battle.net doesn't work for me either.
Plus I started having issues with Office 365 - the beta suite.

For example Outlook wouldn't start due to an activation issue.
I had to remove some folders and reset Outlook.

I have no clue how to solve the Battle.net issue though.

"Finding" photos from Photos App for Facebook upload?

Has anyone else noticed this?

When I am in Safari on Facebook (I use my computer for my work FB account and my phone app for my personal FB account) and want to upload a pic, the "Photos" file/directory isn't there anymore.

It was there when it was iPhoto, AND it was there for the first Beta of Photos.

Now, I can't find it anywhere. (I know that I can upload to FB directly from Photos, but it's associated with my personal FB account, and I'm trying to upload pics to my work FB account.)

What's to fix? I've been testing it with two separate libraries (using different Apple IDs and old devices of course) and iCloud Photo Library appears to be perfect. One library has around 30,000 photos and the other around 750. Both match between the Mac the iPads.

Yeah it's has been pretty solid but there are still a few small issues I experience.
1) uploads sometimes take way too long or get stuck periodically like people mentioned (especially uploading large libraries)
2) sometimes when I turn off IPL I have random pictures still remaining that I deleted a while back. They are either in photostream or camera roll although I already deleted them (also from recently deleted) when IPL was turned on.
3) photos on iCloud.com is wonky, uploading messes up time metadata and downloading removes the GPS metadata

I'm not beta testing 10.10.3 so I cannot wait for the public release (and 8.3) so I can properly upload my old pictures on my Mac. It will be sweet :D

Nope, but it's not in iOS either, so I wouldn't expect it.

Well you would actually expect it to not be in iOS but you would expect it to eventually make its way to photos on OS X. One is a desktop OS and one is a mobile device OS so you can't compare features. Photos on mac already lets you do more than on iOS. Geotagging is quite a basic and necessary feature and will surely be there by release.

Solved my problem (of not being able to play) by launching Diablo 3 directly and passing -launch.
Code:
/Applications/Diablo\ III/Diablo\ III.app/Contents/MacOS/Diablo\ III -launch

Still get the Battle.net problem but at least I can play.

Hi, sorry for hijacking the thread.

have issues with discrete GFX been ironed out?

Yes, I have ran into this annoying bug too. Though my work around is to share it to myself via email, copy it to the desktop, and then upload it from there.

Or, if you have iCloud Photo Library on, then use continuity on your iOS device to push the page you are using in Facebook to iOS and upload from there.

Unfortunately not (at least on my MBPr 2013) I still get graphics glitches and a fair number of problems getting the screen(s) to wake up after sleep, but I can remotely connect to the computer with screen sharing, SSH, etc. but can't get the screens back until I reboot

Lookup/three-finger tap is crashing Safari and causing other apps to hang as well. Not everyone is affected by this.

I have a late 2013 Retina Macbook Pro 15". Anyone have a solution for this? Maybe deleting a plist/reboot?

For people experiencing the lookup/keyboard hang issue with beta 3, you can try to delete "/System/Library/Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Versions/C/XPCServices/LookupViewService.xpc/Contents/Resources/LookupViewService.storyboardc" or move it to other places and this should fix the issue.

Look Up Expansion...

Does anyone think that the highlight word "look up" feature will be opened to 3rd party developers?

MacBook Pro "15 2014 :apple:

thank god there are more diverse emojis now. i can finally sleep at night.

Maybe they could just REMOVE all emojis and dedicate those staff members to fixing anything else that might be more important which is....wait...let me think...everything else.

Yes it's missing from the latest public beta seed (14D105g) too.

Look Up bug affecting me. The pop up is blank and occasionally kills my keyboard and I have to restart. Same with three finger definition tap. Blank window.

this happened to me as well along with the latest update on the developer preview I had to restart the computer it just showed a blank searcching bubble when I activated that action maybe they will fix it on the next update

I mean, they should stay in Yosemite for 6 more months and launch Sequoia next January.

No, 10.11 is coming later this year. Apple had a new .x.x build out every spring even when it is close to WWDC.

Plus, iOS 9 and 10.11 builds have been reported in the web server logs from Apple's networks in the past several months.

If you mean releasing 10.11 at WWDC, no that definitely won't happen. They will preview 10.11 at WWDC with the typical Fall release schedule for both 10.11/iOS 9.

It depends on what the goals are. If 10.11 is supposed to be a "Snow Leopard" type of release where they only focus on software optimizations with a minimal focus on new features, then no.

You're more than welcome to stay with Yosemite and wait for 10.11 to mature for 6 months before updating.

BTW, I'm still on a mature OS, Mountain Lion. Will upgrade when Apple launches a rock solid OSX again.

Honestly, I haven't been impressed with the last 4 years' worth of OS X releases. The annual releases have hurt OS X really badly and lately, iOS as well. Apple needs to get its stick out of its butt and kill the annual release cycle. Release it when it is ready, use the public beta projects for people who can't wait a few years.

Snow Leopard is still my favorite OS release of all time but after playing with W10, I'm very disappointed in Apple lately.

OS X is just bloated and it feels like they're just padding stuff on top of stuff without realizing the foundation or the middle part can't support it properly.

Apple needs to go back and rebuild OS X from the ground up, including a new file system, better Finder (for the love of god, it is still unstable when connected to network shares), and so on.
