Apple is encouraging as many users as it can to install the latest public betas of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS Monterey, tvOS, and watchOS 8.

In an email sent to users enrolled in its Beta Software Program, spotted by 9to5Mac, Apple told recipients they can "help shape Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think."

Apple is expected to release beta 5 of its new operating systems soon, and the company clearly wants as much feedback about the software as possible before it officially releases them to the public in September.

If you're interested in trying out the latest iOS 15 public beta but aren't sure where to start, be sure to check out our how-to guide.

I’d be careful. I installed it on my M1 iPad and I lost volume for everything. NotHing would fix it but downgrading back to iOS14. Also memory management was terrible for me as well as slide over apps constantly quit.

This may not be your experience but I think I’m going to wait until the next beta before installing again.

Same, Plex will not work for me

I’d love to try it on my daily driver but until the HSBC / First Direct banking app gets a comparability update, it’s a no from me. Normally try beta iOS versions but I can’t be without my banking app.
Well well well aren’t you in luck, it’s working now. 😁😂

Mildly irresponsible. iOS 15 broke some really important apps for me, so I had to roll it back.

macOS Monterey has such a nasty bluetooth issue with mice/trackpads that I had to roll it back.

For the average Apple user, these betas can be a nightmare, so I am very surprised Apple is pushing them so hard.

Current tvOS 15 Beta works great on Apple TV 4K (the old one), including Spatial Audio 🎧🤩

Yep, got Apple’s email. Running iOS 15 PB4 on my old iPhone 7 to get an idea, but not keen on putting it on my main devices, mostly due to possible issues with third party apps.

or wait, since its probably lots of peoples primary devices and the features this year aren't overly compelling and there are always risks of deal breaking bugs however small that may be.

its iOS 14½.0
Agree with everything you just said, yet I still installed the betas on my primary iPhone, iPad and Mac, no backup devices. 😬😂

Sadly, the last round of updates for me are terrible. Apple TV has tons of network and streaming issues accross all the different apps, iphone 12 pro resprings, network connectivify issues, etc... almost feels like they are going backwards. My m1 ipad seems stable enough, but does have network issues on occasion... i've become accustomed to do a daily apple product reboot at this point.

Sounds like a problem with your modem, no issues on 12 pro max or M1 iPad. 🤔

as long as you are willing to accept the risk, no harm or foul. I've done it before too with some releases 'just cuz'

But telling granny to go ahead and get on the Public Beta or Release Candidate - that aint it chief
