It will come from stateside not China.

Pretty sure it will be new as there has been so little time for them to get refurbs up and running.

Enjoy

Thanks so much! I got the email that they have accepted my repair request. Is this the same thing as a replacement phone ?

I think the $29 fee is for "advanced replacements" (for iPhones/iPads), where they'll ship your replacement before you've shipped in your broken unit.

This fee is covered if you have ApplCare+, and I've seen posts here where they seem to waive this fee for people who have problems right after buying something. :)

Yeah, they must have changed things. In 2008 Apple shipped me an advance replacement MacBook Pro. They did take my credit card in case I never returned the defective unit, but they never did charge me any kind of fee for the advance replacement.

Sounds like it is. When you new phone arrives check it out and you will find instructions on sending your older phone back to them.

Great! I was very upset with my vibrator not working correctly. Other than that, I love the phone. Just was pissed about the vibrations.

I had this same question as I'm getting my 6 replaced due to an issue it's having. Not sure if we'll get new or refurb. I got the serial number of my replacement device but I don't know how to tell if it's a refurb. Quite honestly, I probably shouldn't care, even if it did impact future trade-in value, because it's a 128 GB and I probably won't be trading it in (will be backup phone).

If you have AppleCare Plus they waive any shipping fee by the way.

Mine have always come from a parts depot in PA.

Yes, mine just shipped from Middletown, PA! So this is basically the equivalent of going to the Apple Store for a swap out correct?

Should be here in CT on Tuesday!

Sorry you had this trouble. You should be back on track early next week!

Have a good weekend!

Same to you! Thanks! For now, I can still enjoy my 6+ until my new one comes. Just doesn't vibrate well....but it really is a great phone!
