This part is disturbing to me. Does this happen a lot, trading essentially unlabeled sponsored content for scoops? Sounds worse than that even, is this not stock manipulation?

One gotta think what was Apple's HR doing if someone with that high of position was still stealing from the company.
Naming won't be difficult. There are still plenty of names until we reach Project XS Pro Max Ultra.
I love how APPL effectually say things like: “…used his senior position to attend meetings..” If the guy had no access, then why or how could he be there on the room, and how let him work there for 10 years? Sorry, APPL— I’m not buying that bit; no pun intended.

Doubtful. Like drug dealers/criminals etc they'll most likely either wait til the heat cools a bit and/or find other sources.The Leakers are definitely out of the game now. Nowadays we just have to rely on Mark Gurman & Kuo. It seems like all they do is speculate. Back then we had actual leakers leaking accurate stuff from Apple.

I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but I enjoy being surprised when Apple releases something. The iPhone was completely unexpected, at least for me. Also the iPod. I miss the surprises. It’s disappointing to read it all in the news before it actually gets announced officially.
Possibly. Gurman was money with his Apple Silicon reports. Now his accuracy has gone down a lot.
It could also be Ming Chi Kuo's source. We haven't heard many good rumors from him in a while.
