OK why are none of these comments about the enormous freaking teddy bear in the background? That's the real story here.

Why is no one mentioning it moving during break 2, in blood red lighting?

But .... why ....? At first I figured she was going to go over some helpful study techniques real-time with the viewer. I mean ... that would make sense. But this? Outside of reminding a student to throw a timer on and listen to some deep chill cuts on their playlist ... this just seems like an amazingly stupid waste of time.

Now, if the actor was AI generated and fully familiar with the entire content not just of the class syllabus but also of the lecture & assignment and I could interact with it, even though that would be mentally/socially unhealthy, at least there would be a sense or learning and collaboration for me as a student. I think kids in 10 years will have AI study buddies which are effective in helping them learn and be better in school.

Still doesn't solve the social issues.
Give it 3-5 years.

So many “ I think”s while they are trying to tell the “ younger generation” how to live their lives.
society Is set up in a way where people barely got time for each other, either through work or school.
everybody is on the clock and under pressure. If you are not educated enough you are Fed. If you don’t work hard enough to keep up with rent rising : you are Fed.
The cure for this type of loneliness is a social and economical change. It’s the same reason we got online hook up culture going nuts. ( haha).
besied what happens to live and let live? Most of us are too old to really care if that’s what the kiddies are into.
we did worst back then.

Honestly, I LOVE that Apple did this video. I lost my job after the pandemic and started taking online classes to gain new career skills. YouTube channels like Lofi Girl really helped me focus as I studied. Videos like that are great for a dual monitor setup, or I'll tuck the video away and just listen to the music while I work. I also play stuff like this on the Apple TV while cooking/cleaning at home.

That said, it's a shame Apple disabled comments on the YouTube video, because it drives me nuts that you can hear every little thing that she is doing during the 25 minute periods. It's distracting to me. I would rather have a version that silences her but keeps the music. I don't mind if she makes noise during the 5 minute breaks.

Wonder what is the point of the long 1.5 hour video. There are better ways to highlight the 15" Air

So...this is what we're doing now? A 90 minute video of a random actor I have never heard of before staring at a 15 inch Macbook Pro?

Welp it's official, Apple has run out of ideas. Not just with product refreshes, but now advertising as well.
They're playing into well-known online trends. You may not be the demographic for this, millions of others are.

Oh I am the demographic for this, I'm in my 20s. They didn't even do it right. For background noise for studying people put on a 24/7 lofi beats livestream, which is where this girl comes into play that you've probably seen before

Apple did not do that. There were some lofi beats, but this isn't a stream to play music in the background. This is a 90 minute glorified 15 inch Macbook Air ad trying to have some semblance of that, but with a C list actor the majority of us have never heard of, doing nothing but staring at a Macbook with nothing interesting happening, doing cringe "breaks" skits in-between.

The entire thing comes off as Apple trying to be hip but completely missing the mark, showing more and more how increasingly out of touch they've become.

I understand what this is, but where's the "ad" part of it? Just having the laptop in the frame is not "promotes the M2 chip, multitasking capabilities, and 18-hour battery life."

I thought it was an interesting idea & put in on in the background while I was working yesterday. I had to turn it off when the actress took her first break & we had several minutes of listening to her eat/crunch taco shells.

Seems like some people found it useful, but man I just could not get past that part & had to turn it off.

Definitely one of the weirdest things I've seen Apple do for marketing.

I'm unsure if anyone watched, but it had some wild breaks. At one point, she ate sardines and tacos, and at another, we saw yoga with a giant teddy bear— plus a big dance at the end. Great filming session.
