I can’t believe they have the guts to mention industry leading stability of macOS. They are delusional.
Until 6 months ago iCloud wasn’t even syncing and two years ago you could login without typing the password but just by pressing enter!!!!

What? you could login just by pressing enter on what?

Apple’s new mini is a pro device, suggesting they may release an even less powerful Mac as their entry-level model. This Mac would lack Apple intelligence and have slower chips, and less connectivity. The reason is that the new mini is overkill for casual users who only need web surfing and light-duty tasks. Apple’s introduction of Thunderbolt 5 on the mini, coupled with its new lowest-priced Mac, implies they will update the entire lineup to be more powerful in the coming years. This would result in the sale of older chips that never went into machines, akin to the iPad mini, which serves as a way to sell outdated tech at a low cost due to manufacturing efficiency. Apple could eventually create a $400 Mac using chips from iPhones, iPads, or Macs which would essentially be lowest end iPad in a box and still charge more for it than they do an iPad but essentially it would be a screen-less iPad that can run Mac OS. Same chips, different form factor.

I don’t remember which version of macOS it was, not too long ago, 2 years ago or so.
At the login, if you didn’t type anything and press enter it would let you login.
It was patched fairly quickly but that’s not the point. macOS is in shambles, because of the incompetence of the apple software team

With all the circular imagery in the first part of the video, I'm surprised Apple passed on the opportunity to make the new Mac mini's housing look like a miniature version of the Apple Park Ring.

Good intro video. Interesting to see these new 10 minute style launch videos from Apple. Looking forward to the next announcement.

Anyone else there got a maxed out version?
Last 4TB were painfully expensive

It's such a small amount of times that the location doesn't matter though is my point. If it was something you have to do often, I'd understand the complaints.
some like to automate that with a servo

Nice, I'm tempted to get one, since iMac was a disappointment. But man, they are not cheap for a beefy pro. But the main issue I have, is the price of their monitor. It is crazy expensive. Add that to the mini and boom - too much for an average user. But no one else comes close to that display quality and design :(( So instead of Apple getting 2/3 of the total price, they get 0 from me.

but you‘ll never have the pain of owning a 5k Display tied to unusable hardware (like I have with my still beautiful late 2024 Retina iMac)

It’s good to see they mentioned DaVinci Resolve, that’s the go to software for a lot of us :)
