Good video. Excited for the new MBP. That closing weightlifting scene is wacky though.
for LLMs you should go 128gb and that means max onlyGoodbye 2018 Intel MacBook Pro… hello M4! Definitely glad I held out.
Quick question for any Python developers out there: I currently work in Python (mainly with Django) and am planning to dive into the world of LLMs. For those of you in similar fields, would you spring for the M4 Max or stick with the Pro? I’m leaning toward the Pro but would love to hear from others who work with large datasets and resource-intensive applications. Appreciate any thoughts!
If it comes out on Steam odds are, you don’t need to buy again but Apple might have negotiated an exclusive for the App Store.I couldnt believe it when I heard it! I wonder if part of the Windows version already owned i.e bought through Steam or need to buy again.
I assume that Oled will come with a redesign of the MacBook Pro in 2026.Hah they're probably waiting for M5, a nice round number, to give people tandem oled
It was cringe.that end credits scene is very not Apple...
very fun but very not apple
I just tend to use Geforce Now where possibleConsidering how well it runs on my M1 Pro chip through CrossOver, I am hyped to see how it does on M4 Max when it is running native code. Gaming on Mac really needed this as a show piece for what M series APUs can do. Most people don't realize how far ahead of the game they are in GPU performance compared to their x86 APU counterparts. Take for example the base fanless iPad M4 that ships with a 20w charger. It matches the highest end AMD full fat desktop APU, the 8700G that gulps watts and needs a softballs sized cooler, while being as loud as a jet engine. If M4 Max GPU is anything close to what Apple is claiming it will be 4x more powerful than the 8700G's graphics and still in a quiet, all day un-corded, thin and portable machine.
Ok, but let’s just remember Apple is using an integrated GPU for PC in the comparison, a laptop RTX 4090 is about 3 x faster than the M4 in gaming.i love all those ray traced games sinc I got m2 max, like I bought them all and played them all and what was the best, it cost me 0$. Magic. Adventure games, strategy games, driving simulators, RPGs, you name it, liek all are amazing and with RT no slowdown at all, no battery drain, my laptop stays barely warm. And I can even work while playing bc they all run only in the background I think, at least I don't know how to download them and run. But still it is enough for me to make fun out of my friends owning some AI PC Chips, like how can they even play on such slow computers. I much rather like m4 max with RT games coming somewhere in near decade than playing right now on some ****** AI PC Chips which are up to 3x times slower.
GO GO APPLE!
No, you're doing it wrong. You show your love for Apple by finding something … anything! … to complain about. They could give these computers away for free and people would still complain. As one of the last Apple fans on MR, I must say it’s been an excellent week.
Definitely an interesting bunch. The Mac Mini Product Manager was definitely the most attractive to me. Allegra is okay, but I'm not a fan of her wardrobe at all.Man all these attractive Apple employees, I’m sold before they even said the specs
How was that racism? It is no secrete that everyone is coming up with bizarre names for their kids the last 10 years or so. It goes across al races. Common ethnic/regional names are normal names too.Nice how you packaged your racism. Maybe don't hang out on X-Twitter as much?
Where do you see that it's small? M4 shows a significant performance boost per core from M3. Definitely comparable if not better than in previous generations.M4 Max MBP has the same 16/40 core count as the M3 Max MBP for a small increase in performance. I guess the worthwhile updates are TB5 and nanodisplay. Anything else?
