Cute kid but I agree with the others. The story is... problematic. Not to mention frost-free freezers (pretty much every one now a days) would get rid of that snowman in a number of days. /bah humbug

This was played during a break of the first NFL game. Such a long ad must have cost some $$$ (even with a low rated Bears/Lions). Wasn't really paying attention and didn't know it was an Apple commercial until I saw this post on MR...

Thumbs up!

Do not do this at home. Snowman in a fridge is a waste of energy, bad for the planet.
How to say you don't know much about energy usage without saying you don't know much about energy usage. Putting the snowman in the freezer (not fridge, BTW would melt). has 0 incremental cost vs using the freezer anyway. 1) the snowman is already at freezing temperature, requires no additional energy to freeze. 2) as thermal mass, a full freezer actually helps maintain temperature in the freezer, 3) air displacement - by displacing air which cannot be displaced when the fridge is opened, it could actually reduce energy usage because there is less air to chill after the freezer door is opened, and the snowman would not warm up at all, in fact it could actually lower overall energy usage.

so,,,,,No

and you could add a syrup too it and make a tasty snowman cone

The girl throws the food out of the freezer, and there is no space to put it back, so that is definitely wasted.

That idea was already used in 2002 when Ally McBeal wanted to preserve the snowman her lover made (in the fridge, not the freezer).

Lovely, until the gross AT&T logo came up.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if marketing teams had a bit more restraint. We know it’s from Apple. Take it easy with the over branding.

And did they really need to co-brand with AT&T and other carriers? Build the brand, and the carriers will follow like the siccophants they are.
Just so I understand - are you complaining that an advert is advertising? I mean - surely this is a new weird low. To complain that an advert is an advert. Is it becuase it’s Apple that you wish it was somehow an advert without alluding to be an advert? I honestly don’t understand. Over branding?! There is a iPhone reference at the beginning, the directors name, and a flash of Apple logo and AT&T at the end. It’s not even in the same league as what anyone should be able to consider as an ‘over branded’ advert - if that can even be a thing.

This is cute. Huge improvement over last years but kind of feels like a riff on “Lily and the Snowman” from a few years ago.
Loved "Lily and the Snowman", a promo for Canadian movie theater chain. Here's more about it
I know the singer who sang on this Genesis cover of "Follow you, follow me" that plays throughout. If you like it here's her page on Apple Music https://music.apple.com/ca/artist/adaline/277953656 where you can find it, I recommend this EP

Sweet Christ, I thought the SONG was bizarre. I'm genuinely impressed they were able to keep a straight face throughout that thing.

I thought it is a well fit for video about crazy people :) Music used to be so much fun. I think that the actors must also have a blast :)
