Don’t support Apple’s high priced, Chinese made, crap; it just incentivizes them to keep over charging people for everything.

If you’re in the market for buying charging brick, then look at the Anker brand - it has a few alternatives to Apple's new 35W power adapters with dual USB-C ports, and both undercut Apple's prices by half.

Apple already sells a compact UK version of the 18w and 20w chargers. The fact that they were able to fit a UK plug on what is likely smaller than the US version of this dual port charger is why people are disappointed.

That is great design. I wonder why there is no EU foldable version... Must be some odd regulation prohibiting.

Would we be able to connect a MagSafe Duo and an iPad charging cable to this 35W charger so that it charges all three devices at once??

it's 2 versions because there is the travel version with their "standard" design and the new design with honestly looks better but only works in places like China and the US and wherever else the 2 parallel prong outlet design is a thing.
I still don't get why they bother with two versions. The international one can use the fold-away US plug on it anyway. Making a whole separate version that is both market specific and less versatile doesn't make sense to me, but clearly it does to them.

Interested to know if it charges the macbook pro 14 and if its safe to do so. I don’t mind if it charges slow or needs lid to be closed to charge it as long as its safe and compatible that will be a great option for travelling or as backup at least having that one charger that can charge them all apple devices no matter how slow. Until apple comes up with a higher watt version, this will do… if its compatible with the mbp 14 at least for my use case if ever :)

Yes, it’ll charge, slowly and it IS a good backup. I have a Belkin car charger that’s 36W, it charges my 16 inch MBP. Slowly, but works in a pinch (if it’s dead and I need it to at least have SOME charge when I get to my destination, for example). USB Power Delivery does the handshake between devices and ensures that it charges safely.

I’ve slow charged my 2021 16-inch MBP on a 20W charger no problem. The charger won’t provide more than it can and the computer will only ask for what it can use.

There are far better, good quality options available with far higher outputs if you want a dual USB-C charger though.
