Apple Shares Close-Up Footage of Fire and Ice Shot on iPhone 11 Pro

Apple today shared a new video on its YouTube channel, titled Experiments IV: Fire & Ice.

Shot on the iPhone 11 Pro, Apple says the 90-second video captures "incredible footage of elements at their most extreme."

Apple has also shared a companion behind the scenes video.

I read somewhere they use external lenses for enhancement... so, this is not exactly shot using the standard capabilities. What app they use? Who knows, maybe the stock app, maybe not.

I love my iPhone’s camera, I find it to be one of the best selling points of the device right now, but it is very difficult to achieve many of these promotional shots with the standard options.

Do they still have live backgrounds? The slowness of Haptic Touch is just frustrating after being used to 3D Touch since iPhone 6s.

I think it has more to do that folks don’t see this so much as Apple iPhone Photography anymore, but simply photography.

Really, you’d think they’ve gone to making cameras that you can also use to make calls or send messages with, the way they advertise.

😂 You have absolutely no metrics to back that up. Their reach is far beyond macrumors you know? If you're gonna do eye tests then go by one of their stores and see how many people are buying, or better yet wait until their quarterly then come back.

The 11 Pro captures slomo only at 1080p, at either 120 or 240 fps. Presumably it was transcoded to lower quality 480p to prevent the high-resolution footage from being stolen and re-used 🤷‍♂️

Apple can do no right, as usual 🙄 They can’t even post a sorta cool (free) video on YouTube without people clutching their pearls and collapsing onto the nearest fainting couch.
