Presumably it was transcoded to lower quality 480p to prevent the high-resolution footage from being stolen and re-used 🤷‍♂️
If so, that’s some bizarre marketing-fu.

Marketroid #1: Hey, let’s promote the hi-res slo-mo camera in our new iPhone with this awesome video!
Marketroid #2: But what if someone steals our video, and they use it to promote our new iPhone?
Marketroid #1: Hmm… Oh, I know! If we upload it at 480p, it’ll look like crap and no one will want to steal it!
Marketroid #2: Win!

More likely some clueless prat careless individual made a mistake and no one at Apple noticed.

No, stealing it for their own purposes, not to promote the iPhone 11 Pro.

But does anybody really care that the video is in 480p? That’s a really weird thing to decide to care about... I really have trouble believing anyone actually cares lol!

But yeah, Apple spent a lot of money to create that footage; why make the high-res version available to others free for the taking? Better than watermarking it. I hate watermarks lol

Wow you are so rude... Think, it, through, for, a, moment. How about you consider the fact that the 480p video is BLURRY AS HELL on an iPad Pro?

The 11 Pro captures slomo only at 1080p, at either 120 or 240 fps. Presumably it was transcoded to lower quality 480p to prevent the high-resolution footage from being stolen and re-used 🤷‍♂️

Apple can do no right, as usual 🙄 They can’t even post a sorta cool (free) video on YouTube without people clutching their pearls and collapsing onto the nearest fainting couch.
A very nervous orchestra ☺
The 1080p versions can be seen here:

Sound remains same level ;-)
These videos aren’t 1080. They are just the original 480 source with black bars padded around it to fill it out to 1080....

Nice ad hom 👏

I asked the question of whether anyone really cares. I have trouble believing it’s worth caring about, and I do think it’s a weird thing to care about lol. It seems more like an excuse to make an unsubstantive complaint about Apple. But I fail to see what you consider rude about that.

Your post, however, comes across as extremely rude, and aggressive as well.

btw I watched the video on a 65” screen and it didn’t seem blurry to me. But maybe my standards are lower when viewing free videos. And I definitely don’t feel entitled to 1080p or 4K video. But that’s me 🤷‍♂️
