No person can guarantee that death is how you describe. Fight to live.
Now I would rather guess that it relates to how many skeletons and regrets you carry on your deathbed.
We all have them, deal with them now so death can come easy with a clear conscience so you can be returned to earth from which you came peacefully.

I couldn't agree more .

For decades we have been told it was nurses, doctors, paramedics who saved lifes .
Thanks to Apple, we now know those people are pretenders, and can easily be replaced by even a lowly device and a few amateur apps .
Plus advertising ; it's saving lifes as we speak .
Jesus so medical specialists who have trained for years are no better than your iToy?

You're assuming that after you die, death is peaceful.

Whilst I dislike this type of advertising I could almost understand it if it was not the case you also need an iPhone to set up your watch.

Why is it not possible with an Ipad is odd to me if Apple wish to help a few more people or it's own customers, before we even consider other OS's etc

"This type of advertising". Care to elaborate?

Well, since nobody knows for sure, I suggest making sure your soul isnt a tormented one. As stated, die lite, at ease and at peace with your conscience. Be kind to all living things. . If that doesn't help, then the gods (for some) and life played a cruel joke on us all if we're all destined for a tormented afterlife.

Apple should trim that into minute-long commercials and run them in heavy rotation on primetime shows & football games. They would sell a metric ton of those watches for Christmas.

As a 50 year old heart attack survivor, these advertisments definitely resonate with me and my family. My son and daughter don't laugh about the AW and they don't see it as a novelty as some in their generation do. My AW3 has alerted to high heart rate a few times - once when I was sleeping it alerted and woke me up which allowed to get to the ER where a problem that was found with a medication that I was taking at the time.

I hope that the folks who poke fun or criticize these stories never have to experience something life threatening enough to be able to tell their own story like this. I hope their family does not have feel the pain of nearly losing the people they love. Yea, I get it, it is advertising. But for some people who have the device, it is real and lets them rest easier knowing that they could get advanced notice of some impending health issue or have the ability to call for help from their wrist. I am one of those people that it is real for and I hope Apple continues to develop this device to help as many people as they can.

I couldn't agree more. I'm 35, and due to an infection was diagnosed with heart failure in August. My Apple watch has been a blessing. Its helped me track my heart rate, and any irregularities in my heart rate. I track my medications, on both the phone and watch, and I can input by BP easily while taking it with my Withings monitor. People may see the as just ads. These ads may help someone buy this device which could in turn provide a bit more security in managing their illness. If the ad doesn't resonate with you, fine. Don't bash it though, because it may sit perfectly well with someone else. It has with me.

I also use the Withings (Nokia) BP cuff. Great device IMHO. For my AW3, I use the Alivcor Kardiaband. A family member purchased it for me after reading about it. It requires a subscription for ECG, but it is another “worth it to me” devices.

On another note, glad you have your AW and are keeping check on your heart! Best wishes for you!

Now if only they were affordable...
....and available on other platforms. All well and good sharing “heartfelt” stories but if Apple was really serious about health, rather than really being serious about profit from health and their walled garden, then they would make their watch and features compatible with android devices and potentially save more lives.

Why? I would say these are some of the best ads out there. Stories where they helped save or potentially save a life. Seems like a great way to help sell a product.

I think they are bs

I don’t think they are real. They are just commercials. Sorry but they don’t get me all warm and fuzzy

Apple is not going to do this.

First, it will increase their customer support costs when people call because it doesn't work with their phone when they turn off bluetooth, or this particular version of android, or this manufacturer's non-standard hardware.

Second, HIPAA is going to be a problem for Google when people figure out Google is tracking them to doctor visits using beacons and selling that info. Apple is not about to create a device that would give Google more personal health data to sell.

I agree with you....however seems a “small price” to pay if it can genuinely save lives.

whatever on the fact that “they don’t get you warm and fuzzy,” but
You honestly don’t think they are real? Why wouldn’t they be? There are people on reddit and here—long-term members—who have posted their own Apple Watch testimonials (myself included, though mine was less dramatic), so why wouldn’t there be more people who have had similar experiences?

I’m not doubting the testimonials of Apple Watch users. I believe for some it has been a significant game changer. My comments were solely based on the commercials. As was my original post.

Those are not real people, just actors. It didn’t really move me.
