APP2 owners should wait until Apple releases future updates that weakens the ANC/Transparency modes, just like how Apple did for the original APP.

Loved this ad! Is fun to see that it was shot in Buenos Aires disguised as it would be the USA. Adding yellow taxis, changing the names on the streets, and the display on the public bus.

Can't wait until I'm forced to buy APP3 ... now with the revolutionary USB-C charging port!!!!! The innovation from Tim Apple is UNDENIABLE!

As much as I love my AirPods Pro 2, I'm not sure I'd cross city streets with the ANC on. Drivers today don't care much for pedestrian or bike riders safety.
yeah…Transparency Mode exists for a reason yall…especially with the feat that is Adaptive Transparency on APP2…stay safe yall

I’ve just purchased APP2 and not impressed with the ANC in an office environment. Ordered QC2 to try out.

Smart - I should have kept my QC2 honestly.
The super tight Apple integration of the APP2 isn't as important to me as the quality of the ANC -- as it turns out.

I should have done more side by side testing, but I didn't get the APP2 soon enough and I was running out of time on my QC2 return period.

Walking around city streets with ANC on is an excellent way to be unaware of people with bad intentions. The other version of this commercial could or should be for the transparency mode, not ANC. Or make this commercial for in-flight or working in a noisy environment.

Call me crazy, but on a recent flight I wore my AirPods Max over my APP2s, with noise cancellation activated on both. Pure bliss!
Funny. I would think your head would explode from the vacuum created. 🤣

I initially really enjoyed the noise cancellation on my APP2's but, unfortunately, it gave me terrible vertigo so I had to stop using the noise cancellation feature. I felt better within a few days but it took about three weeks for the vertigo to completely go away.

I got two APP. Switch them when battery is low. Not many people use it as much as I do. I wear them while working and at night during sleep too. I like them better than those noise blocking cushions.

Also, Lightning or USB-C is not an issue for me. Because all my iPhones & APP are charged wirelessly.

The noise cancellation feature on these is great to have. They should've used the original song by the Pixies, sometimes remakes are good but not this time.

airpods Gen 1 cuts an aver if 20-21db. 2x more of noise canncelling doesn't mean that the airpods pro 2 cancel 40dB. db scale is logaritmic. An increase of 3 db means that the sound (or noise subpression) has doubled.

Currently with my irpods pro 2 i'm experiencing a noice cancelling of 24db.
And perceived loudness doubling requires a 10dB difference, so this is mostly a marketing effort. 3dB = 2x power, 6dB = 2x sound pressure. 2-3 dB is commonly thought to be the smallest change in volume a regular person can detect. If they’re calling 3 dB ”twice the ANC”, it’s pretty funny.

They should have a commercial with screaming kids. It does wonders for my household. My wife is jealous.
Is it that good? Better than Bose's QC series?

I have both AirPods Pro (1st gen) and Bose QC35. I must say that my AirPods Pro is no better than Bose — it still can't silence screaming kids.

The noise cancelation is great but Apple seems to forget that many of us talk with these things and in noisy environments they’re useless. I hate that they’re mostly useless to use on a call unless you’re in a quiet room. iPhone has noise cancelation but it breaks entirely when AirPods Pro are in my ear. I don’t get it. Other brands have great mic ambient noise cancelation.

What’s actually the problem? They missed word “performed” or Tkay does not perform it there?
The song is not by Tkay Maidza. It's by the Pixies, and is a cover performed by Tkay Maidza. I assume the Macrumors writer just shazamed the track, possibly being too young to recognise the song.

Unfortunately the majority of articles on MacRumors are either not very well written, or are poorly researched. It's a shame, give how this is probably the biggest Apple news website there is.

It’s helps immensely with screaming kids, haha. Not completely, but much less decibels.
