Of course, however the black/space grey would have been a bigger seller for sure.

Yup. I mean, just gauging on these forums, black has been requested since the inception of the first AirPods in 2016. I think there are some who want a more discrete look with the AirPods in their ears, and white although doesn’t look bad, it’s such a stark color, and options is _always_ a good thing with colors, which unfortunately Apple did not expand on with the AirPod Pros.

At some point I will go to the store to give it a test drive, however, just looking at the pics I will have to remember to bring alcohol wipes before putting them in my ears .
Yeah I'm thinking along the same line. Do they replace the tips, wipe them down or just leave them for the next person to plunge into their ears? Grosses me out.

Definitely not an iPhone.

But upgrading from the old AirPods to the new AirPods Pro was a much easier decision to make in regards to year over year design, functionality.
I think that's true, if you're willing to pay the price.

The one thing I don't really understand is wireless charging for these things.

I have one wireless charger---a vertical charging stand. My iPhone sits on there at night.

Even I had a horizontal charging stand, I don't think I'd use wireless charging---there's not enough room for both devices and it's really not that hard to just plug the charging case into the Lighting port hanging off my iMac.

I charge my current AirPods and Powerbeats Pro once per week. The cost of wireless charging is wasted on me. I'm certain I'm not the only one....

These look great but sadly I never use earphones so it would be a total waste of money.

They don't actually let people put on in-ear headphones in the store do they? Even with a wipe off that's pretty gross. You know it's gonna come out of someone's ear with a huge glob of wax on it.
I got the email from Apple announcing the new AirPods and it said come into the store to experience the AirPods. So it sounds, no pun intended, to me you can put one in your ears to try out and listen.

If they actually let you put them in your ears I would think there should be alcohol wipes available, at least in Bose store they provided it there. I would bring alcohol wipes or a tissue with a hand sanitizer before going. I don’t think they would replace the tips as they would go through a lot plus it would make more sense to provide wipes.

Not having an option on the case is poor, I agree.

Everyone has to realize Apple needed to make that “Pro” differential price offering only a wireless charging case gives them the price separation they want from the everyday AirPods. They needed to increase price via features but I don’t think Apple even had the balls to say $250 for standard and $300 for wireless.

Question ..Of the members that have ordered these does anyone have a Belkin boostup wireless charger and if so will these charge on it?

the case has a lightning connector - you can charge them with a wired connection.

You can do that, but in parallel to Airpods 2, you can’t get a wired only case Airpods Pro set for $40 less. You HAVE to buy a wireless compatible case at this point.
Thats how they command NO lower price point on the Pros.
