I think this is an excellent show, and look forward to season 2. However, ”trailer” usually connotes scenes from an upcoming presentation....this has none. Ad may be a better word.
Amazing Stories and Little Voice are the only shows that I'm aware of that haven't gotten a S2 renewal announcement yet. Not surprisingly, IMO, as those are the two weakest shows on TV+ after Truth be Told (which I'm utterly surprised got a second season, I hope the writing improves).Yes, it will. Everythings been renewed for a 2nd season.
I feel like the first season closed some storylines while leaving others open for a second season... What exactly is this cult (for lack of a better word) that she is part of and how the heck did they all disappear and what will be her next attempt to leave (and why)? I doubt we'll see the Turners again, but Leanne's story is far from over.loved the first season- Ending was odd though. Also it definitely felt like season 1 completed the story so season 2 will be interesting to watch.
We still don't know if the baby was real or not (was it their baby revived supernaturally or not?). We don't know why Leanne was sent/attracted to the Turners. We also don't know if the supernatural elements were caused by Leanne/cult or by the Turners somehow. I had a completely different take on this show than many viewers and believe all answers will ultimately involve supernatural entities.I feel like the first season closed some storylines while leaving others open for a second season... Edit: Just re-read that the leads are all coming back... I have no clue what they can do with the Turners next after the way season 1 ended. Why would they bring her back into their home?
I loved truth be told. We both thought it was fantastic. Oh, I totally believe there are supernatural elements at play. How can there not be? Even if you thought everything prior to the final minutes of the last episode could be explained by mass hypnosis or mental games, that disappearing act proved there were supernatural things going on at least part of the time.We still don't know if the baby was real or not (was it their baby revived supernaturally or not?). Really? Didn’t hear about this show. I’ll check it outThis show was AMAZING! Excited for the second season.
Claire Fisher from SFU - anyone remember?Ugh, that ending, right in the feels.
I was totally thinking about Six Feet Under the other day. I thought, if you’re bringing back another season of Dexter, why not SFU!?
Hey! Hey! We get MCH first.I just started SFU the other day. Have always heard of it, but never watched it. Good so far. Kinda strange to see Dexter as a respectful-of-the-dead undertaker.
Haven't gotten into ATV+ yet. Maybe next year.
LOVED SFU, really enjoyed this show. Well, maybe "enjoy" is the wrong word to use. My sister-in-law never finished it because my brother told her about that last ep with the baby and just recommended she not watch it. It was... a lot. But in general, thought it was really good and one of the better things on Apple TV+ .This show was AMAZING! Excited for the second season.

As much as I would love more SFU, it's one of those shows that absolutely, 100% NAILED their series finale. Honestly, I still think it's the best series finale ever. Dexter, from what i hear, was not. So maybe they want a mulligan on that. But SFU ended on such a perfect note, and especially with the flash forwards I really think there's no need at all for more episodes to fill in the gaps there. Just let it be.I was totally thinking about Six Feet Under the other day. I thought, if you’re bringing back another season of Dexter, why not SFU!?

I would be on board with that but for reasons (don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it yet), there's really no way to bring it back.
MCH?
I hope you enjoy SFU. It's one of the best HBO series to hit television. The ending will hit you hard. It's one of the best ever for a show to date. Please message me when you finish so I can hear what you think![]()
Oh **** we got a tough one over here!Yes. Did I stutter in my text?
4K at 7Mbps to 15Mbps? Don't need lights turned down!My theory is that the actors don't want us seeing their nose hairs given everything is in 4K now, so they keep the lights turned down.![]()
ATV+ runs at a higher bitrate. Higher than any other streaming service. Data is out there but if memory serves it's 4k is 20Mbps to 25Mbps.4K at 7Mbps to 15Mbps? Don't need lights turned down!
The high compression on the video acts itself as lights turned down...
I also think they apply special filters to the faces of the actors, to blurry the details on their faces.
This week I downloaded sone ATV+ episodes on my iPad Pro with High Quality settings, they are ~3.5 GB/hour =~ 7.7 Mbps.ATV+ runs at a higher bitrate. Higher than any other streaming service. Data is out there but if memory serves it's 4k is 20Mbps to 25Mbps.
yeah not the same. Here's a screen shot showing a bitrate of 26.98Mbps. There are posts showing bitrates of a variety of shows on ATV+ here on macrumors as well as on AVSforums. They're all similar. I wish I could find the threads as they include all the screenshots. This week I downloaded sone ATV+ episodes on my iPad Pro with High Quality settings, they are ~3.5 GB/hour =~ 7.7 Mbps.
I remember months ago I downloaded some episodes and it was ~6 GB/hour =~ 13 Mbps.
Maybe when streaming the bitrate is higher than that of downloaded videos?
EDIT: Prime Video uses different bitrates for streaming and download as you can see in the photos below taken on the Prime Video app, maybe ATV+ is the same?
