Apple today shared the first teaser trailer for its upcoming science fiction thriller series, "Invasion." The show will premiere on Apple TV+ later this fall, on October 22.

"Invasion" stars Sam Neill, Shamier Anderson, Golshifteh Farahani, Firas Nassar, and Shioli Kutsuna. The plot centers around an unknown extraterrestrial threat invading the planet, with multiple storylines taking place across different locations around the globe.

Earlier this week, Apple shared a trailer of all the shows coming soon to Apple TV+ this summer and beyond, including new seasons of "Ted Lasso" and "The Morning Show." It also highlighted upcoming new shows like "Foundation," "Schmigadoon!," "Physical," and more.

One of the most annoying things about Apple TV, releasing one episode per week. Apple does not get the concept of streaming.
Apple is in great company with the likes of HBO and Disney - if you think once a week is wrong, don't say Apple doesn't "understand streaming." It is you who actually doesn't understand streaming when you stop to think about it.

I much prefer the once a week release format. It helps build hype and helps me actually enjoy the content, unlike the binge garbage that Netflix has promoted.

For All Mankind started strong but then it got, as you say, 90% too long and drawn out with mundane "housewife" plots.
FAM is not a sci-fi show. It's a Mad Men'esque show with Sci-Fi elements. It's a serious drama, not a genre thriller. You are obviously not the audience for that show. I happen to fall squarely in the audience for that show and love the drama as much as the space hijinks.

Was that my Kiwi buddy Sam Neil as one of the characters?? Nice. This looks interesting…. Hope there’s more action than hiding out in the woods type of show
Based on that trailer there's going to be a lot of action. Looks like massive CGI set pieces as well. They are spending a ton of money on this show. I hope it goes multiple seasons, though not sure how they will pull that off.

And that's one of the worst parts about Netflix, IMO.

HBO, Disney, and Apple agree.
The Netflix way works better for me. I wait until everything is released before signing up for the service, watch everything interesting and then turn it off again. AppleTV is the only thing I’m currently signed up for and that is only because currently it is still free.

Star Trek discovery is released weekly on Netflix. Other shows I watched on there like pretty little liars and the originals were released weekly.
Those are Netflix international releases.

CBS on Paramount+/All Access also releases shows weekly, and Netflix gets the intn'l rights to those shows. True Netflix originals are all released at once. But again, in my opinion, that's a massive negative for Netflix. Binging takes away the enjoyment of the series, the chance to breath after an episode, take it in, and think about it. Unless your goal is mindless time wasting.

Will this be a real sci-fi? Or will it be 90% housewife drama like For All Mankind?
I really enjoy For All Mankind. The second season is a bit hard to follow for the first ~3 episodes just because they're setting up all the plot points and characters, but I thought it was great.

Except for the one scene where a small hole in the station creates an insane vaccuum that throws everyone around the room. I was disappointed with how blatantly unscientific/unrealistic that was. A little hole separating 1 atmosphere from 0 is going to cause an airleak, which isn't good, but it's not catastrophic like the scene suggests. It's the same as suggesting that a small leak in a boat would cause it to spontaneously sink. Yeah, the system will start moving towards that new equilibrium if nobody stops the leak, but it won't explosively move towards it.
