I’m still not a fan of their decision to rewrite most of the scripts for the second season to incorporate COVID-19. It makes the show dated on arrival. Almost everyone is sick of the subject at this point.
*gag* Now I don't quite as much regret cancelling ATV+. I've had my fill of Covid-19 garbage.
I’m against the idea, but I’ll reserve judgment until I see it for myself. Mythic Quest did the same thing and it turned out alright. On the other hand, I hope it’s the last we’ll hear of their scripted shows doing this sort of thing. We already hear about it from the news all day anyway. As for canceling the service, did you not enjoy anything on there?
I'm so sick and tired of the incessant "Covid-19"/"masks"/"social distancing"/"vaccine" crap it annoys me just to know it's even going to be in the show--and I'm not even going to be watching it.
Very little. I watched TMS. My wife and I watched Greyhound. Other than that: A couple rentals we could have rented just about anywhere.
I would have renewed for TMS, alone, had Apple not done something (unrelated to ATV+) with which I strongly disagreed earlier this year. Now that I know they're polluting the show with C-19 garbage, I'm not even remotely interested in even that, any longer.
I'll remember season one fondly and leave it at that.
I can’t blame you. I tuned out of news related to the coronavirus many months ago, though I occasionally check to predict if our work-from-home set up will remain in effect. To be fair, the decision to incorporate the pandemic in The Morning Show was a decision made by the writers. Apple had no say in the matter.
If those are the only things you’ve watched so far, I highly encourage you to give For All Mankind, Servant, The Mosquito Coast, Ted Lasso and Wolfwalkers a try. I know taste is subjective so your mileage may vary, but I found them to be better than the two you’ve mentioned.
What was the thing you strongly disagreed with? Was it CSAM detection? You can tell me through a private message if you’re not comfortable divulging it here.
