I'm a fan of hers, but I won't be rushing to see this doc when it comes out. Though this is the first remotely interesting title on Apple TV+ to me. She has an angelic voice, but her personality is like a rock (no offense to rocks).

I really like her slow songs. If anyone is interested, here are a few of my favorite songs & performances by Billie.

She seems like a fine person, but no living 19 year old should have a $25 million documentary done about them. Unless it's someone like Malala Yousafzai.
agreed you'd have to have a huge social and political impact to have a documentary in your teens. This Billie is a flash in the pan whose impact is limited. Who knows if people will even remember her in 10 years like so many stars who fade.

Apple could make its own documentary on any music artist. Any at all.

And they paid how much for one about Billie Eilish?
She's a chart-topping artist who is popular with the gen z kids, and was nominated for 9 Grammy Awards and won 4 of them.

Song of the year, record of the year, best pop vocal album, best new artist.

I'd rather see this doc than yet another one of that Taylor Swift girl. She pretty much has some kind of exclusive concert or documentary on every streaming platform.

I'm of the age where new artists just don't grab me. But I will say, I listened to her album after seeing her on Hot Ones (I always give new music a chance) and ended up buying the album.
It shouldn't grab you. As I always tell friends ,if you are over 35 and some teen artist is viscerally speaking to your inner soul with their music , its YOU that have the problem.

I just don’t like this type of music but it’s a generational thing. I remember playing my Grandad some classic Rainbow, Kill the King, I think it was, and he just said “It’s a bit repetitive, isn’t it?”. To kids of today, I’m sure this might sound good.

$25 million has gotta be in the ballpark for the most paid by a distributor for any documentary film, ever. The main reason why docs can be acquired for less vs. narrative content is because they are relatively cheaper to produce, as they don't have sets, actors, etc.

In 2019, Netflix acquired "Knock Down the House" for a reported $10 million, which may have been a record at the time for a doc acquired at a major film festival.

She's a bit young to have won multiple GRAMMYs and to be selling out worldwide tours too.
And? So was Lorde, who was doing the same thing when she was that age. What is she doing now besides “inspiring” Eilish?

Maybe I'm finally turning into the old curmudgeon I swore I never would do but she's always come across a bit try hard to me, to use one of my favourite Simpson's quotes, 'the whole thing smacks of effort'.

She's still a teenager for crying out loud. Not everybody can be as mature and self confident as you guys were at that age. Peeps should cut her some slack and mind their own business if they don't care.
