Okay, so this is a little weird/interesting...but since I'm a member of Apple's Developer program, I just received an email about the event. While it contains the same three "memoji" characters, it has a different reflection in the coder lady's glasses on the left. I'm not sure why. Here's the image:

Focusing in on her glasses, and mirroring the image, we have this:

Clearly different from the emojis from earlier. Looks like some kind of recipe expressed using a function builder-based DSL? Maybe a hint that Apple is going to take the function builder stuff further? Possibly some deeper DSL support in Swift or Xcode? Or maybe just nothing but a fun reflection.

Anyway...for your consideration.

I think of all the events WWDC is probably my favorite Keynote. I remember the one a few years ago before IOS 12 and they announced so much stuff. I don't really know what I want as improvements (I'm always asking them to improve apple music). I think I would love for them to rethink the activities app on the watch. You should be able to "Bank" rest days, or tell the watch it's raining and you can't take a walk. There are times when I think the watch deals way too much with the "Fitness" aspect and way too less on everything else. It's a good motivator tool, but you shouldn't feel like it runs your life.

Already can feel it.
not enough hardware.
iOS 15 looks the same.
Why no new AirPods.

The new MacBook Pro isn’t “Pro” enough.
Wish they’d stop shoving this iPad crap in my face, I don’t want Tim Crooks little toys.
There ruining my macOS!!!
All crapple cares about now is emojis and impressing their mindless zombie customers, and not us real professionals.
Eww Colored Macs, what a tragedy, professional machines should only come in gray and silver
It’s a developer event. You have to look into the many sessions they will post. There are a lot to learn and use.

So, I did discover one rather clever joke embedded by Apple's artist in this image. Seriously! If you look at the code reflected in the glasses of the lady on the left, you can see three "print" statements, each of which is referencing a Unicode character by its value. These are:

1F374
1F634
1F4BB

Those represent, in order, these emojis:
🍴
😴
💻

Get it? "Eat, Sleep, Code"!
The Macrumors website cannot transfer those emojis, it rendered them as '?', it needs to be upgraded.

I agree. The pandemic-induced format actually made for a much better viewing/reviewing experience and therefore raised the educational value, though from a purely psychological perspective, I did miss some of the audience interaction aspects.
Mainly audience interactions like when the Pro Stand price was shown

What is the new 12.9" M1 iPad Pro, running macOS?

Its a 13" MacBook with a Touchscreen!

Let the hacks begin!

Oh yea, I know. In reality Apple has to make some macOS adjustments to utilize touch functionality. But that code base already exists in iOS for extraction and insertion.
