Can't wait to see what Apple has been working on.
Incremental upgrades to the iPhone, possibly an exciting NEW iPhone color, iOS 16, MacOS 13. Possible incremental Mac upgrades. I quit tuning in a few years ago. At least we don't have to deal with the scripted applause from Apple employees like it's some kind of throwback 1980's infomercial.

Apple today confirmed that the keynote event for the Worldwide Developers Conference will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on June 6, the first day of WWDC. The keynote will be an online-only event, though a select number of developers have been invited to the Apple Park campus for a viewing event.

In addition to confirming the keynote date and time, Apple has shared the full WWDC 2022 schedule. Following the keynote, the Platforms State of the Union for developers will take place on June 6 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

The Apple Design Awards will follow on June 6 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, and starting on June 7, Apple will provide session videos on all of the new features that are coming to iOS 16, iPadOS 16, tvOS 16, macOS 13, and watchOS 9.

Apple engineers and designers will also be hosting activities in Digital Lounges during WWDC week, allowing developers to engage in technical discussions, get answers to questions, and connect with the community.

Apple recommends that developers download the Apple Developer app to experience WWDC22 and keep up with all of the announcements.

Not sure I would get too excited. Pretty much everything is going to be short supply and/or outright delayed.
That we don't know for sure and to what extent. It's quite possible, Apple anticipated that and had their suppliers start much earlier. I read they asked Foxconn to get more workers in place 2 months prior than usual.

Mmmh should I try and stay off the internet (and turn off all News notifications) and only watch it when I get back from work, or try and watch it in between things I have to do for work and possibly bust my data…

Dunno, it's gonna be late afternoon on a public holiday....

?

Try reading some news about Chinese manufacturing plants. China is a mess and Apple is looking outside of China for future plants.

Looking forward to all the juvenile "This is the worst presentation ever!" remarks.

Like previous years, an award will be presented for the one who can muster up the biggest eye-roll. New for this year, extra points will now be awarded for duration.

Apple Memojis are stepping into the light, just enough to reveal the early details so developers can get ready.

AR/VR HEADSET ANNOUNCEMENT CONFIRMED, PEOPLE!!
And, on the developer page, they’re all animated to be raising their heads to the horizontal.
And they don’t have ears… so AR/VR headset will turn your entire view into silent movies?

oh god how much i hate Memoji designs. if this is going to be the avatars for their vr, then it is already dead to me.

Any real chance of AR/VR news at the event or is it just wishful thinking because of that board meeting reveal last week?

Oh jeez, enough with the Memoji's in all the advertisement material please. It really looks infantile.

To be clear, when it was a new feature and they first started doing it I was totally on board with it, it was fresh and cute - for a little while. The fact that they're now constantly using Memoji's in all sorts of advertising and also during the keynote to represent key speakers ... It's getting to be a bit much, come on. Apple could try to be a little more classy sometimes.

Are Memoji's even popular? In The Netherlands basically nobody ever uses them.

Or... Disney World Main Street silhouette souvenir artists?

It is an incredibly old and common motif.

Could be good point

interesting how we immediately associate different things with it right off th ebat

I def see the apple retro rainbow logo inspiration but beyond that in the eye of the beholder I suppose
