the future generation will not be able to speak any languages....just speaking through memojis
Apparently that worked for whole peoples like the ancient Egyptians. Thousands of years later, this generation is still facinated at what they had to (not) say.*

Perhaps many thousands/millions of years from now, our generation will hold some special fascination based upon our pictograph language?**

*or perhaps they simply want to find any remaining hidden gold.
**or perhaps they will simply want to find an iPhone 13 in green.

What is this obsession Apple has with Memoji? I don't understand...

Most likely avatars for AR/VR. I don't believe Memoji's have been very heavily used since they were introduced, so - to your point - why are they still pushing it? Assuming AR/VR glasses are coming (which is almost guaranteed given the rumor activity and industry activity in this space) there will need to be some avatar and Memoji are already perfectly suited for that. They already react in real-time to your own facial expressions. They would be a pretty decent solution

The only thing I want out of this keynote is a refurbished Apple Music. You can have your Iphones and Ipads and Macs, but give me a new Apple Music that is easier to use on both Mac and Windows.

Software development conference so don't sit around waiting for hardware products at this time. Enough said.

Yeah, I always get a kick out of people who want new hardware at WWDC. I mean Apple has like 4 events in a year but only one is dedicated to the software side. For those not in the market to buy new hardware (And this year is even harder since everything else is going up in costs), getting a keynote about what is new in software and services is always something to look forward to.

I think everyone knew the time and date of event
It's about the breakout sessions. When will they be talking about Swift strings? When will they be talking about changes to ARKit? When will they be talking about changes to Metal? The important part of WWDC is that it gives you a chance to interact with the people who write Apple software and ask them questions.
Not sure I would get too excited. Pretty much everything is going to be short supply and/or outright delayed.
WWDC is not about physical products. It is about tools for coders to write new apps. It is about sitting in a room with people who write Apple tools and asking them how to solve problems. It is about learning the changes to the Apple Swift programing language and the APIs that let you talk to the OS and such.
Any real chance of AR/VR news at the event or is it just wishful thinking because of that board meeting reveal last week?
I am quite sure there will be changes to ARKit and such. It may not be in the keynote speech.

That would probably be in a different event. This is more about how your applications can talk to Apple Music than it is about the Apple Music UI. Expect what you are looking for when they announce the new iPhones and such later in the year.

WWDC introduces the new IOS for the year. I could see them saying in the new IOS (And on Android) here is what is new about Apple Music. They did something similar a few years ago when they relaunched Car Play with an entirely new screen.

well, it seems like it's focused on family features. iOS really needs it. Multiple users with some sort of parental control.

My guess is they will become our avatars in whatever AR/VR/Metaverse-esque world they will create when the AR goggles are launched. Apple has been familiarising us with Memoji and Animoji for years. The AR-like Memoji in last year's WWDC seem like the natural evolution for them. A hint at things to come?

I’m jazzed for this. I don’t care about hardware, I just want to see what’s new with SwiftUI. I’m using it everywhere now but there are some things that need to happen to make it the true UIKit successor it is becoming.
