Gotta love how there's only 52 comments to this news. So where are all the usual suspects that say Samsung are just garbage, Samsung doesn't innovate, Samsung only can copy, etc.....

Even when you know that Samsung is Apple's biggest supplier, you'll still spew out this same garbage. So if Samsung doesn't innovate, what exactly is Apple buying from them. Hmmmm....

Buying other people's real innovative hardware and wrapping it up in a pretty little package is not innovation. It's a joke in regards to innovation, but it's genius in regards to sales. Simple.

Problematic

I find it problematic that Apple is using different displays in their iPads as you never know if you're getting a good one or a lesser one.

APPLE: " Hey old buddy ! We need some more of those screens we previously told you to shove up your ass"

Samsung: You have some balls Apple, are you going to drop the Lawsuit ?

Apple: NO !

Samsung: Then go F'k yourself !

*** I know Samsung isn't that smart but I wish they were. A strong company would use whatever leverage they had to keep business going ***

Every single story on MacRumors today is about Apple being the biggest Jerks around.

Isn't it so hypocritical of Apple to be doing this when they were so anti-establishment, anti-big corporation, etc? They bragged for decades about being different, and now they are worse than anyone else.

Makes perfect sense. Samsung's LCD manufacturing is a separate entity from the corporate parent. And it's totally normal for companies suing each other to still work together. It'd be petty and amateurish to do otherwise. And neither company got to their current size by acting stupid.

True, in the end its all about profits and its never personal, only business.

LOL. Samsung isn't. They are selling more tablet LCDs to Apple than they make into Galaxys.

Yeah but according to LTD it doesn't make a different to the conglomeration that is Samsung that one of their partneres is suing one of the divisions it owns. It does make a difference to them. This just shows that Apple is just being a bully.

That's great news! I've got two dead pixels and was going to get a replacement. Now I'm thinking I'll wait towards the end of my warranty period and that way, get a sparkly new one with a fresh battery too.

Drop Test..

In electrical terms is actually running the unit through power for long periods of time to ensure a continuous and smooth operation so I don't think this literally means 'dropping' the panels on the floor! Especially as it reports blue LED's representing a failure. Surely it would say 'damaged/broken/cracked/smashed' if it was based on determining the resistance of the unit whilst being dropped.
