I think it's weird that society sees being a collector as a perfectly normal and good thing to be.

Being a collector means you are hoarding lots of stuff you're not using - stuff you can't use because you have so much of it, and there's only so much time in the day.

Another word for this is waste.

It's bad enough that this is considered so socially acceptable. I certainly don't see why anyone ought to pander to collectors.

They aren’t wasting, they are collecting and keeping the items for their own pleasure so it’s in use of something. Far better than the folks who buy a million bands and toss half of them to a landfill when they bore of them or they get some little mark.

I'm a bracelet person for most watches, but I find the Apple Sport band to be very comfortable to the point, that I usually wear a Sport Band over my Link Bracelet. I love Sport Bands. To each their own.
Whoa! You’re a double bander? That sounds really uncomfortable. How do you attach them to the watch at the same time?

I know this will trigger some people... but as a band collector it annoys the piss out of me that the color options between the solo loop and sport band are not consistent. For some reason the sport band doesn't always get the all the cool new colors anymore.

It's also apparent that they have serious issues supplying the different SKUs for the solo loop. Right now, most of the solo loops on Apple's website do not even ship until November 9th or later. Some very select sizes have ship dates of October 25th. For an Apple Watch band accessory?? That's ridiculous.

Just get rid of the solo loop. The sport band is better. People can buy a braided solo loop if they really want no clasp.
So two different bands that you’re not wearing simultaneously seem quite the trigger for you. Maybe that’s a good area to change up on your end.

I doubt that many collections of consumer stuff like watch bands will stick around once the collector is gone. This stuff is of limited interest a few decades down the road either way and will see the landfill in the vast majority of cases.

Even better if you have the original microfiber cloth and link pouch. Mine never came with those!

Oh I know. Everything is different for different people. I was just mocking the op. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean someone else can’t like it.

I have a slightly used link bracelet from my original series 0 sitting right here on my desk in its box. Should be repurposed to a good home and to clear some clutter. Will post in marketplace or band collectors, send me a message.

Switched to sport bands and never looked back. But it’s a beautiful band and more comfortable than the link bracelet on my submariner.
I love the sport bands and I'm not a collector of bands but over the years I've acquired quite a few. The sport band with the aluminum watch is so light I hardly know I have a watch on. I purchased a Hermes this year for the first time, but between being afraid of scratching the SS or sweating in the leather band I don't wear it for everyday activities like house cleaning, walking the dog, working out etc. I do love the Hermes though!

the solo loop once you find "your size" is the best everyday band for Apple Watch. I absolutely love it and nothing else is so thin around the entirety of the loop, nor as easy to take on and off. I love many other types of band including your sports loop favorite, as well as others like the new ocean band, braided solo loop, and some 3rd party bands but solo loop is incredible.
I love the simplicity of the solo loop. I also like the braided solo loop and my new real ceramic band.
